Here's to hoping for a nice safe race. It's been hard week for motorsport with Wheldon and now Simoncelli. God Speed everyone.

Two car draft = garbage.

Maybe so but at least they're not all bunched up together which makes it safer

Carl Edwards might have something to say about that.

Restrictor Plate Racing = Garbage.

Always has, always will.

Trevor Bayne needs some time in ARCA to learn how to NASCAR. The ARCA drivers race properly and it's no wonder Roger Penske's looking at bringing his team there. A professional organization for a professional team. Bayne was classless. You know, Robby Gordon had a winning vehicle, as he often does, and Bayne ruined it by ripping off his rear bumper and then breaking the chassis. Then Trevor was a traitor with Robby's brother Jeff. Boy, the Gordon family must hate Bayne. Well, I hate him too, and I hope that Brickhouse guy in Nationwind replaces him.

First, Robby Gordon hasn't had a winning vehicle in years and second, Robby is no relation to Jeff.

Carl Edwards can take that up with Dan Wheldon.

Carl Edwards can take that up with Dan Wheldon.

NASCAR pack racing isn't one tenth as dangerous as Indycar pack racing. I'm pretty sure the only time in the last 20 years we have seen a NASCAR in the fence was at Talladega 2009 as a result of "tandem" racing.

When Edwards hit the catchfence at Talladega, he destroyed several uprights and launched debris into the crowd. When Wheldon hit the catchfence, he destroyed the mesh, but the uprights weren't damaged. Even at a higher speed, the IndyCar has less momentum because it's lighter than a stock car; therefore, an airborne IndyCar is only dangerous to its occupant.
