Why do 'Go to first new post' and 'Go to last post' not work?

For a few weeks now when I click on the 'Go to first new post' link it just takes me to the opening post.

And when I click on 'Go to last post' it takes me to the first post on the last page, but not the last post.

Is this a problem for anyone else?

No problems for me.

Both are working for me. Clearing cookies would kill the first new post function, but I imagine that it shouldn't affect the last post function.

Both rely on anchor name tags, the thing you see at the end of the URL after # . If your browser has decided not to parse those then you'll see that behaviour.

Best suggestion is to try a different browser.
