Crew is okay according to radio. Shame about the crash he was doing well as usual. Still a slight chance for the championship.

Now its between Mikkelsen- Neuville with 1,9 sec separating them.

What about Bouffier time

Edit: OK I didn't realized you took the gap after SS10 :mark:

Loix and codriver are OK, this is the important thing, but too bad for him, he had a great chance here, now to fight for the championship will be difficult :(

24th September 2011, 14:43
Typical Sanremo crash hit probably a stone or mountain wall, suspension and maybe other things broken and then blocking the road. Sucks for Freddy probably his first mistake with the Fabia in 2 years!

They said that Kopecký has a safe tyre choice thinking even with a possibility of some rain (heavy clouds reported around stages).

Is SS11 finally cancelled

wwbroe
24th September 2011, 14:46
Loix crashed at 150 km/h against a small wall and were lucky to stay on the road and not fall into the valley. I just had comfirmed by himself that they are both ok.

Started at 16:01, just 1 minute late.

wwbroe
24th September 2011, 15:10
It is started with one minute delay so at 16h01. Normally they should finish at around 16h14. When you look at it it is normal stating time for Mikkelsen, being second on the road this morning.

mousti

Mikkelsen just finished at SS11 I think so huge delay. Other cars who didn't start yet will do alternatif road.

Walter, am I right that Freddy didn't crash since Barum 09?
I think so in IRC and BRC. But he crashed although in Legend Boucles De Spa with the Skoda 130rs or what was it?

Not started at 16h01 still no comments and times..

No stage times in for stage 12, they should have finished some time ago allready.

Yes, but that off was due to a brakeproblem in that Skoda, not really his own fault.

The stage where Freddy crashed, Mikkelsen had spun and lost quite a lot of time, so he was lucky that that stage was stopped.

True but a crash is a crash. :D And it's probably his first DNF since Barum even I don't remember any problems with the Skoda yet.

Oh yeah after the Barum he had a hard crash in the Condroz with the 207 S2000

That title is wrong. It was in 2008. I was in Condroz 2009 and Freddy finished but very far behind with electronic problems of his Pug. It was his last start with Pug.

He has safe tyre choice for case of rain. Doesn't want to risk any point.

True I was doubting it myself, and he finished if i remember well. So last DNF was Barum 2009

Scandola must be angry for the canceled stage. He had a chance to fightback but with one stage less he probably can't catch Perico.

On the first pass Mikkelsen was "slow" compared to the competition so definitely Neuville has the advantage here for the win.

Three IRC rallies in a row decided by time difference of less than 2 secs. That's amazing! Congrats to both - I'd really like to see Mikkelsen win once, but also good for Neuville to have the consistency.

Congrats to Neuville. Hopefully Neuville and Mikkelsen will stay in IRC in 2012 and continue their big fight!

It's a big fight only on tarmac though. Out of the current IRC drivers only Wilks is any competition to Mikkelsen on gravel. Hanninen is off course as good or maybe even better than Mikkelsen... when he starts.

mousti
24th September 2011, 17:39
Mikkelsen and Hanninen are very good on gravel! Garde, Loix, Bouffier and Sandell has nice gravel experience aswell.

pettersolberg29
24th September 2011, 17:43
After a bit of quick maths I see the championship as being rather close still, assuming Hanninen will be in Scotland and not Cyprus. This is based on the following results:

Hanninen wins Scotland, Mikkelsen 2nd, Wilks 3rd, Kopecky 4th and Neuville 5th
Mikkelsen wins Cyprus, Wilks 2nd, Kopecky 3rd, Neuville 4th and Loix 5th

This means:
Kopecky - 149
Mikkelsen - 143
Juho - 135.5
Neuville - 134
Loix - 111

Of course if Juho does Cyprus too then he must be considered favourite for the title.

I'm very happy for young Neuville & Peugeot. Especialy Peugeot deserved this victory as they are working very hard and as their drivers can not match the overal performance of Škoda drivers (the strongest driver here in Italy was at home-Andreucci...this was big mistake by Peugeot Sport management department), this victory is a nice reword for them.
Talking about Italian drivers-yesterday was Pedersoli on the first three stages faster with C4WRC as IRC drivers with S2000 cars, thank god.....

Does Juho theoretically have a chance for a overall win? He needs to finish two more rallyes. And as far as I understand only best 5 stages will be taken into account eventually for all drivers? So, e.g. Kopecky takes some more point in next rallies, but only 7 best will be calculated.
Am I correct?

Great rally again , 3 thrillers in a row for IRC :) Just one thing , I REALLY don't understand why Peugeot didn't bring Andreucci in ... The money spent on that would me much more logical than to bring Sarrazin or Solberg in Monte ;)

I think it's more the Peugeot who's slower than the Skoda than the drivers. And like already said Monte is heaven for Peugeot San Remo is not and I think they already gave up the manafacturer title especially when Bouffier season is probably done..

Also Hanninen has a nice chance to get the title. If u take the 5 best results of everyone, Kopecky has 101 and Hanninen 98 and if u think then Hanninen would finish the next two rallies without problems I think he has the title! Kopecky has not the speed on gravel like Juho has for sure the only one who could beat maybe Hanninen on gravel is Mikkelsen and his best of 5 is only 66.

So if Hanninen starts in the final two rounds finishes 1 or 2 he's again the champ.

Yep indeed, but Cyprus will be almost for decisive and even Neuville I wouldn't count him out. Because Cyprus is so rough like Acropolis what is very hard for a S2000. We have seen that already that a S2000 can easily damaged there and even the fastest pilot can win that battle. So if Neuville finish in both events with top 4 results he'll be close also. It'll be very interesting! But I think Juho is top contender then Jan and Neuville, if it's really right about Loix not doing Scotland. For Bouffier it's too late thanks to his screwup especially in Corsica and the screwup of his team in Ypres.

dimviii
26th September 2011, 17:52
Cyprus is really very toygh rally.Maybe the championship be decided from retirements? i wouldn t like something like that, but the x2 coifficent will be very tempting for all top crews.

Scotland has 1,5x and Cyprus 2x point coefficient. It was made to attract crews to the last two rallies of the season.

Because rules of Production cup are different to rules of 2WD cup and Renault never registered for IRC.

PC: Only drivers in cars of registered manufacturers take points. Only registered manufacturers take manu points.
2WD: All drivers take points. Only registered manufacturers take manu points.
