This could be interesting: Coulthard racing against a bunch of gamers - only DC will be in a real car:


On Monday, Brundle, 52, will call a race like no other. His BBC commentary box cohort David Coulthard is racing in a real Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG on a secret track against gamers from around the world in the Sony PlayStation rendition of the SLS – on the same, albeit virtual, circuit.

Top Gear did something similar when they ran an NSX around Laguna Seca in real life and on GT3 or 4 back in the pits.

How are they going to make sure that the tyres and setup are equivalent?

What would be more interesting is if they set the car and game up such that they did the same lap times. And then have the gamer drive the real car and DC the sim.
