Motorsport Mechanic

Hello everyone, i have just left school and have a huge passion for motorsport :) . i would like to have a career in motorsport as a mechanic, the only experience i have is work experience in a garage and volunteering there, i would be willing to help out any teams in midlands area to gain more experience and knowledge. i would really appreciate it if anyone had any advice or tips to give me on how to get involved in motorsport. Go on internet,find rally teams OR rally car preparers,and ASK if they NEED some one,make the first move,cos they wont come looking for you !!

i have emailed around and asked as many teams as i know, hence the reason for asking if any one has any advice, or if anyone on here wanted someone to help out.

only like a couple near me as i cant find many near :) , was jut looking more for advice on how to get involved, as i am hopefully studying motorsport engineering at college
