NYC's "Ground Zero" is finally taking shape

For those of you who have visited my "hood" or for those of you who probably may care, here are some pics that I took yesterday at downtown Manhattan.

After so many years, we are finally seeing something happen, other than the bickering and stalemate that was clogging an opportunity to make things better structurally, architecturally and transportation-wise in this great island that is Manhattan.

It is nice to see something being done. When I was in Manhattan in 2005 it was still a mess. And I thought the giant flag wrapped around the pillars at NY Stock Exchange was the most cynical thing in the world.
