Finnish for 'off camber'

Hi guys,

I never stop working on improving my pace notes system, and lately my co-driver and I decided to add some Finnish words to substitute long English words, and make the notes more authentic: Finland being spiritual home of rallying and all.

We've used this: Les Notes Finnois - Anglais de Timo Rautiainen (http://planetemarcus.free.fr/timopacenotes.htm), but now we need to find a word to go instead of "off camber".

Does anyone know, how Finnish drivers call off camber corners?

There's no specific word for "off camber" in Finnish (pace note) language. Some different ones are used.

Latvala/Anttila use this: "kaltto" It's basically "slope-ish". Some use "viettää" which translates to "declines". Hirvonen/Lehtinen use "wc" (=Wrong Camber).

MM.. only "kaltto" sounds the best of those, but it's still too long.

Maybe any other short (1 syllable) word that means anything like 'care', 'slow', 'wrong', 'off', etc? The meaning doesn't have to resemble the situation exactly, just be short and sounds cool :)

So far the best one we could come up with is "varo"... it's good, because the meaning doesn't have to be literate (i'll still have to learn the word). But it's still 2 syllables.

Can anyone suggest any other word?

We use negative here, so a simple "neg" is very easy and fast to pronounce.

Surely "off" or "neg" would do the trick. With all due respect to your homage towards Finnish motorsport culture, I'd question whether you are really doing it in an "authentic" way.

Dear Cosmicpanda, agreed, definitely not too authentic, but I just though that if we have to dip into other languages, Finnish is first on the list.
