NASCAR does not even have the decency to honor its own country.
Of course since Big Bill died, the France family has not done much to honor itself, beyond satisfying its greed.

Did they stop playing the national anthem before every race?

Nascar once again, throwing a caution at the end for a half spin from Gordon who already corrected it. then over 2/3rd's of the field crashes from the result of the field being bunched up

Another demolition derby :\

The Gordon caution was legit enough.

I thought it was legit too. I've seen them throw the yellow flag for a lot less. Caution flag or not, the last ten laps are always nuts in plate races.

I'm really not liking this two-by-two stuff.

I like the two-by-two. Pack racing sucked, and this is closer to what unrestricted racing would look like.

I still won't watch it.

just remember, if Daytona was not repaved, the 2 car packs would have never worked, maybe for a few laps with fresh tires, but the track would become slick and it would be every man for himself

And if they reduced the banking they could do away with restrictor plate racing altogether.

I won't watch restrictor plate racing.

There is another solution. Drop the engine size down from the current 6 litres to something around 2-3 litres turbocharged. That engine would still be easily capable of producing 700hp, which combined with a reduction in weight (partly through smaller engine) down to around 1000kg. With a turbocharged engine it's simply a case of mandating a different boost level for each track, and with 1/3 of the weight gone the cars will be much safer in high speed accidents even with increased speeds. At the same time the horribly outdated carburettors could be replaced by fuel injection.

Good job by Ragan, he deserved it.

Well what's the point of controlling boost if they're supposed to be safer at high speed?
