Hey everyone.

I'm doing a paper at my university about touring cars and need to know some figures for attendances for events at the likes of brands hatch, snetterton, rockingham etc.. etc..

If they are pretty exact great, if not maybe ballpark figures?

Cheers guys :)

If you look on the btccpages/archive you can get attendance figures for 2001 season.

Silverstone last year got 33,000, the second highest attendance of any four-wheeled motor race on a single day in the UK after the British GP.

Don't forget, though, that many outside events always 'overestimate' their crowd figures. I'm not saying the BTCC does, just that many do.

Also, beware of 'weekend' attendances, where they add together people there on the Saturday and Sunday, even though most which are counted on Saturday are probably the same people that are there on Sunday too.

The only people to get accurate information like this from surely is the BTCC, not from guesswork.

I would be wary of avarages, some events can attract massive crowds, whereas others only two blokes and a dog turn up :p

I know how that feels, I drag race and sometimes UK national events are so poorly attended it's almost depressing.

Awesome help guys, any other help you guys can give me will be really appreciated.
