Just a reminder on the rules. Having a link to a website in your signature is, and always has been allowed. However the exception is when a user posts purely so their signature can be seen, usually if they are a new member this will be regarded as spam and the user banned.

I may look into disabling signatures for new members.

The BB code limit is a bit short - for example I considered having a link to www.touring-cars.net (http://www.touring-cars.net) in mine but including the [url= etc. code it is still too long! That is even with no additional words.

Edit - it seems I have forgotten I managed to make it work, although only just. I think I tricked it because when I typed it out it was just too long.......

Oops. I may be guilty of this. My link is to a site that provides historical memorabilia clothing which I ws trying to make people aware of. It's not a big commercial site but just a couple of friends that do it because they love it but I guess that it can be classed as advertising.

If you want me to remove it, just let me know Mark.

No, that's no problem at all. As you aren't posting just to get your site noticed.
