Been having a tidy up, and came across some programmes from 10 years ago - and what events made up the various championships. Quite a few of the events no longer run, and even one of the championships no longer exists. I've listed them below....

BRC

Vauxhall Rally of Wales
Pirelli International Rally
Kuhmo RSAC Scottish Rally
Seat Jim Clark Rally
Stenaline Ulster Rally
Manx International Rally
(Trackrod Rally Yorkshire)

ANCRO

Rallye Sunseeker
Astra Stages Rally
Manx National Rally
Kerridge/Mutiny/ Severn Valley Rally
Enterprise Printing/ Swansea Bay Rally
Park Stages
Bulldog Rally

BTRDA

Wyedean Forest Rally
Malcolm Wilson Rally
North Humberside Stages
Somerset Stages Rally
Red Dragon Stages
Dukeries Stages Rally
Quinton Stages Rally
Woodpecker Stages
Plains Rally
Cambrian Rally

In an ideal world, what events would you like to see return?

Of the events listed, the ones that haven't run recently are Rally of Wales, Astra Stages, North Humberside and Red Dragon. For a ten year period that doesn't seem too many lost to me.

North Humberside will be back in a new guise this year, Red Dragon has effectively been replaced by Neath Valley Stages. So the obvious ommission is an event to use the North Wales stages in the first half of the year.

Oh good news about North Humberside - though I imagine it wouldn't include Dalby/Langdale.

I always felt it was a shame about the Astra/Rally of Wales - I know the Bulldog has moved to March, but it doesn't include the Alwen/ Brenig/ Clocaenog complex, and now there's no event in October.

It certainly will not include those stages and will be using a new name but the same core organising team.

York National which used to be part of the National championship pre ANCRO would be nice as well as the NH. It never really worked when it was absorbed by the Trackrod BRC round.

Was looking through some old Rally Sport mags the other day and we have lost several other events that used to use the North Yorkshire woods as well as all the multi venue events that utilised smaller woods, farm tracks and airfields in the area. If we lose the RAC at any point that will only leave us with the Riponian, and Malton stages as well as the Tour of Dalby.

My understanding is that the new event will be in Scotland!

The Cambrian is in October (8th) & uses Clocaenog/Penmachno.

Yeah, true, so used to it being in November. Think they moved it this year to avoid a clash with IRC Rally Scotland - who have now moved a week earlier as well to avoid a clash with Mull..........
