Okey, it's more than four months until this event, but it's never too early. Some basic information on the event has been published on autosport.cz (http://translate.google.fi/translate?hl=fi&sl=cs&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.autosport.cz%2Fclanek.php%3Fcl% 3D12069) and it looks like the succesful formula from last few years will be repeated this year also.

BCRZ will be held August 26th-28th.

BASIC PROGRAM RALLY

24th Wednesday
Recce

25th Thursday

Recce

Administirave check in the evening
Scrutineering at Zlin sport hall starting 6 PM

26th Friday

08-13 hours: test SS (shakedown - near Otrokovice)

17:00
the ceremonial start of Rally

21:00
Super SS Zlin

27th Saturday

09 hours - start of the first SS in Day 1

28th Sunday

08 hours - start of the first SS in Day 2

15:30
hours - Finish of the rally -

If I understand right from the article, it should be four stages repeated each day, with SSS Zlín totaling in 17 stages.

I figure there is no reason to believe the entry wouldn't be any less than last year. Of course that is someting we'll know for sure once it's published. But top drivers of IRC and MMCR will definitely be there, hopefully some fast drivers from ERC as well.

Thanks for pointing this out. From the timetable you'll get rough overview now, but for any considerable planning one must wait for the proper version. But it have always been like this, right?

Is shakedown still the same as it were last year, though RG1 states it is some 300m shorter? From which end shorter?

Mirek

Ok, time to bump this thread to the top!

Any rumoured "special" entries beyond the expected yet?

It surprises me we have never had live tv for Barum. Rallying is big in CZ, and maybe Eurosport could share the footage with some local tv station?

Photos from the old stage Majak which returns after many years as first part of long stage with same name: Průvodce RZ Maják | Mityho rally koutek (http://rally.wbs.cz/Pruvodce-RZ-Majak.html) This road which touches south edge of Zlin in it's whole length is normally closed for public.

After leaving Malenovice (suburb of Zlin) it continues in direction of 2009 shakedown which it takes in opposite direction, than there is extremely fast connection part to Pohorelice where it joins stage Komarov in direction of 2008 stage (opposite to last year's shakedown and twice longer).

Madeira wasnt in Neuville's plans for this season...
They did instead Yalta for Barum like the most already knew, and with the crash of Ypres I don't think they aim for a title so they'll probably don't implement Barum :)

And Madeira wasn't in it for obvious reasons :)

Nice news. 8 ancient olditemer racing cars will drive through city stage including legendary cars Bugatti (for sure model 35B), Hispano Suiza, Darracq, Jaguar and Walter. All should be driven by important persons of Barum history.

I talked with few people and i know that from Poland drivers who start in 100% is Grzyb (207 S2000) and Kornicki(C2 R2 Max), Oleksowicz(Fiesta S2000). Of Course there will be more crews from my country. For example im not 100% sure but i think in Barum will start Sołowow(Fiesta S2000), Chmielewski (DS3), Kołtun (DS3), Janczak (C2 R2 Max), Chuchała (Impreza).

Where i can found preliminary startlist?

Looks nice :-) Only name I would've liked to see there but isn't is Mirek Jakes, and of course Rossetti. Other than looking very nice. 29 S2000 cars to my count - the mysterious 6th make being Toyota Corolla S2000! Also good number of R3 cars. I thought Harry Hunt was supposed to be in Barum, but apparently he isn't (something to do with Finland's off perhaps?). Also thought Cerny was supposed to be in DS3 R3. Karl Kruuda is nice inclusion as well.

That video was professional and so was the driving. Once the car sounds came, my heartrate raised and I realised one week from now and it's already Barum shakedown waiting to be started.

By the way, I guess testing regulations for Czech privateer teams are fairly free whereas for WRC teams they are regulated, but seeing Kresta-Gross driving the test using t-shirts and shorts I thought this can't be seen in WRC. Or is it only up to the team to decide whether they want to use the full gear or only the Timo Salonen 1980s garderobe?

Would be cool though that we have a full attack Kresta again :D . Top 5 he can surely be in it, he's now fully used to the Skoda.

Big storms everywhere our country got struck bad in the east where there was a big Popfestival already 4 people who didn't survive it :(

Back from Proton test. Rather spectacular driving must say. It was veeeery hot but some mud and humid places under trees, so some nice sliding on slicks there :)

The car looks more stable on Reigers (last time I saw them live was Monte Carlo) but still lacking some torque which is easy to see in uphill acceleration.

3rd place or 4th place like Ypres, I doubt that. Top 8 and being in the points yes that he can do. Although with the Peugeot now, he knows the Peugeot pretty well I think but didn't had much succes with it, that's why the change and has now good results with the Fiesta. But yeah like Maciek said, if they ask u can't refuse that :D

So the the winner of Terre de Langres is his car. But why not a factory Peugeot from PHSport? He'll probably will get some help with setting and other stuff, if they want him to get points they'll have to service him good :) . But I like it that the war is really on between them. They have Valda also as a extra force. But Skoda has Juho, Kopecky, Loix, Mikkelsen and Kresta as topdrivers..

In IRC I know it's not really regulated anything about that. But teams like Skoda and Peugeot (Kronos) are so professional and even it's very hot they'll use their full equipment. But if u see Belguim teams testing they often don't use full equipement even sometimes they don't wear a helmet! And that's very stupid!

I remember also a onboard video from ERC 1998 or 1999 from the Elpa Rally think it was Richelmi who also weared a short and Tshirt in the rally itself!

Běhálek than again and ripped FL wheel, several other big moments like Pešl... Anyway I really liked no anti-cutting poles on shakedown so there were huuuuuge cuts :)

Andersson had broken rear diff, engine ok but still very weak (uphill part on rpm limiter they weren't able to stay on maximum rpm, other S2000 yes...).

Some people (maybe Sordo's media producer?) copied my video of Mini's Finland test. Then reuploaded it and embedded it to danielsordo.com and Sordo's Facebook fan page. It's very nice that they liked my video so much but I would have appreciated if they would have atleast asked something. I would have definately let them copy it or use the original for their purposes.

Sir, this video was taken by Luboš Lahola, a friend and Autosport.cz/Rallyheart.hu reporter. Why did You remove author's logo from the video and re-uploaded it? Anyway I sent him a message...

They will say it was a mistake then apologize and blablablablabla
In Portugal these situations are very common unfortunately.

I'm back from city stage. As it was already mentioned, Kostka ripped RR wheel off and stopped in third round not to make more damage (first nice fireworks from broken rim on the ground). Hungarian Lukacs rolled over a stump at circuit start and blocked few other crews.

This time I decided not to go to bus station as I was too overheated from shakedown and came late. But it wasn't bad further in the stage, a bit less show but better visible differences between drivers.

Most spectacular at my place from 4WD Basso, Neuville and Orsák, from 2WD Kangur, Consani and Albertini.

Usually it happens with the same drivers, in IRC as example with Mikkelsen, Wilks, Neuville (not yet in this rally), P. Solberg in WRC...
