The Huntsman Rally

Carlton and district motor club Ltd are proud to announce for 2011 a revised event to the calender and the area – the Huntsman Rally .

The knowledge and special test venues gained from organising an Endurance event for three years have been used and developed to provide a “no frills “ Daylight regularity rally [with special tests].

Daylight event .Approx 120 miles .Variety of special tests.

Special LOW Entry fee £49

Open to Historic,Classic,Road rally and Endurance cars

Multi Permit[no licence required for Clubman event]

Maximum entry is limited to Sixty cars.

Marshals required for the special tests and road sections – a nice summers day out.

As usual the event will be supporting the local air ambulance.

The regs for the event are now due out on Monday 18th April.


This is due to an unforeseen [short term] family emergency.


If circumstances permit the organising team will bring forward that date and announce here.


In the interim put the date in your diary as a bumper entry is expected following the early enquiries.

Are you new to Daylight Regularity rally [with special tests] and thinking you would like to enter but may not know about navigation or basic car requirements .



In order to help decide whether you would like to enter this event Carlton motor club has decided to put on a "training day " on Sunday May 15th . It will be predominately aimed at beginners but all are welcome.



Topics covered will include basic navigation and car requirements .There will be a short road run as practice . More details to follow.

A quick update.

Afterthe regs have been out only two weeks the Organisers have confirmed the event is ON as the minimum number has already been reached.

Further entries and marshals still welcome.

On Sunday May 15th there is a FREE training/information day near DERBY. Its aimed mainly at the beginners class but all are welcome.
