The fact that Seabass, 4 time champcar champ, isn't coming in here and dominating immediately says that the level of the competitors themselves in the series is the best American Open Wheel has seen in years.

That's a big leap of faith, given the fact that he hasn't been in an open wheel car for quite a while and he is driving for a team that is usually in the bottom half of the field.

I agree with Gary. I am a little shocked he isn't challenging toward the top 12 or so, but I don't think it is fair to judge him or the competition based on these circumstances. I'd predict (as much as I'd hate to) that if you slap him in a NHR car today, he'll be a challenger. And keep in mind I can't stand the guy!!

That was ugly, dixon, conway, andretti out, that was Marco IMHO

Yeah...Marco all the way. Got a bump from Hello but the train wreck was already in motion. That really suck for a lot of fast cars. Marco Marco Marco.

helio and Marco both tried to go where no hole was :(

Ana just shouldn't be in an Indycar...not ready or not good enough. Either way she is and has been a moving chicane so far.

Beatriz AGAIN! So far she has gotten Rahal, Danica, and now Briscoe. Technically she indirectly got Serbian too with damage to Briscoe.

Wow...some very amateur driving out there. Ridiculous.

These cars need fenders.

Bad idea (Double file) badly implemented (IMO)

Good for Simona...

Very amateur display we've got here. From pretty much everyone... How did Power lose the lead?

From the looks of the replay Hoop, she bounced off of two or three to get there.

Why do I get the feel i'm watcing Danica TV? ABC sucks big time. They even missed Power loosing the lead. BTW, illegal streams rule!

Where IS Bourdais? He doesn't show up on ABC's ticker at the top.

He totalled his car in warm-up and Coyne didn't have a backup car.

what a terrible start- one caution after the other- can't these drivers keep the thing on the road. I know Marco was helped a bit at the start but he was never making that corner without running into something.

Who else is betting that double file restarts wont last two more road/street races? Again contact on a df restart... Danica visably off pace, but still on the racing line. Classy. Hopefully Franchitti, Power, and Kanaan can make this a good race...

Kanaan had a good run on Power after the last restart - too bad he couldn't make a move because of the Jakes yellow...

Little disappointed in how conservative HVM was there with Simona but great great job.

Something happened between Hildebrand and Danica on last lap. Justin got by them both and Hildebrand dropped 2 spots. Anybody know anything?

Was quite surprising she didn't use the PTP a lot more. Can only assume they were playing it safe - first race of the season, good result to get under their belts and so on. Shame, as she certainly looked capable. Hope they can maintain that level of performance throughout the season. Nice to see Sato getting a decent finish. Well, let's be honest, nice to see him FINISH!

great run for Simona :bounce: congrats to them, and SATO!!!!!!!!! finishing 5th, sometimes that guy can get a good result if he ever completes a race, hes always had great speed, 2007 Canadian GP to prove a point, but hes always sometimes out of the moment and makes dumb mistakes.

also great job by TK on the 3rd with his new team, prolly nice for him not having to setup for e other drivers now these days

Ana was not at fault where Ana was concerned. Patrick had how many cars taken out? How many nose cones? If anyone should be out it is Patrick.

Man, I was gutted when Scott got taken out by Marco being a little to agressive. But hey, it's racing
