Jeff Smith is on track at the start of the afternoon session at the same time as Jordan so presumably it wasn't him this morning.

Sweet Thanks. Not long till the season starts now

The Pirtek Racing Vectra's are out and they have the same 2009 spec car so we can tell a certain amount from their pace.

Our learned friend Mr Mappin of BTCCCrazy was stating it was Smith in the car at the time "Jordan" set those laps. Who knows!

O'Neill now running right on the pace in his Cruze.

BTCC2

Hmmm seems strange since they clearly have 2 cars at the track unless Smith's car was unable to run this morning...

Great lap by O'Neill, really starting to click with that Cruze already

It's not unheard of for a more experienced driver to go out in his team-mates car at test days to check setups/diagnose problems etc

1,59? So what happened to the BTCC using shorter circuits, i.e. like at Silverstone so the fans got to see more laps?

We don't know how many laps there are going to be yet, plus i'm not completely sure the old Snetterton layout is still able to be used at the moment.

There will be less laps. Races last year were 18 laps. Probably be 14 this year.

Although the track is now longer the part that makes it longer is the infield section which is meant to be good for spectators ive heard. Snetterton is quite flat but i would imagine that if you could get up in one of the new grandstands they are building then you will be able to see quite a fair bit of circuit.

I could be wrong but as for the old layout.. i dont think it exists anymore it its past configuration. Its now know as the Snetterton 200 and will still incorporate the hairpin after Riches Corner followed by a left onto the Revett Straight.

It has been suggested due to the lap times, only 12 LAPS!!!
