Truck racing on Speed when there's an epic Daytona 200. Shame on Speed.

The two big factors a TV network weighs for airing something: production cost and TV ratings. The Trucks are the highest-viewed show on SPEED, and the cost of production for that race would likely be about equal for the cost of production for any other race (i.e. the Daytona 200), so...

On top of that, they have a contract with NASCAR. They can't dishonor it just to show something else.

They will show the Daytona 200 on tape delay. However considering NASCAR owns the AMA Road racing series now, you have to know that this is perfectly ok with all parties except the fans of the AMA. Which is fine, because NASCAR only cares REALLY about NASCAR fans in the end...

That's the only bike race I've been able to attend -- and I've missed the past couple. I gotta get back there one (or more) of these years,....
