Yes it's that time of year again. This years 20th anniversary Targa Tasmania looks like being a big one, with 400 confirmed entries, ranging from pre WW2 cars to the latest Porsche and Lamborghini's.

I'll be back in the BMW M3R with Ray Julian doing the driving. We are heading down for Recce this weekend, spending 4 days on the Apple Isle. The route is not much changed from last year, although apparently with the floods down there a month or so back the roads have been damaged a bit.

We will have a course update next week on my website http://www.bakermotorsport.net and during the events I will be doing updates each day.

Also will be doing a live cross each morning on Canberra's MIX 106.

Looking forward to all the action.

The big news on who's going to be there Ray is the Porsche Museum entries. Walter Rohrl and Christian Geistdorfer are teaming up in the 1981 Porsche 911 which won the 1981 Sanremo .

There should be a big battle in modern with the top 10 being fought out by a good 20 teams. I will be spectating most days for sure, will only give Thursday and Sunday a miss

Apparently after more rain last week there could be more changes to the course. Hopefully not too much.

I'm heading down on Monday morning, nice and early flight. Our car is going down on the Spirit of Tasmania on Sunday.

Really looking forward to a good event.

40th in Early Modern after day 2. Big news is the Whites got a 20 min penalty for being out of late time. Tony Quinn leads by 90 secs in his R35 Skyline, from Matt Close in an Audi TT RS.
