With both championships decided we will have a mini championship for the remaining two rounds.

-Essentially each stage will be scored as a rally with 1st-6th earning 10-8-6-5-4-3 points depending on how they finish the stage

-End of rally points will also be given as normal, so with 9 stages plus end of rally points it is possible to score 100 points for a single rally.

-Dnf=no points, but supperally is allowed

-I will keep two separate points tables, one for the former championship, and one for the mini championship

Rally complete!
Not a great fan of tarmac, so wasn't really expecting any good out of It!
But It was a lot of fun. It was fast and Intense-with some spectacular offs!
I had some great fast sections though, but the French stages are ruthless!
I'll post some photos, just to get the feeling, In the coming days! ;)

Yeah, for this event, then I'll match you in a Hyundai for the last one I think.

Done a few stages now and its not going to plan! With the new points system I went for flat out driving....unfortunately this resulted in hideous crashes and little pace! In the first two stages combined I was over 40s off my PB times. It seems this event will be won with consistency and average pace as no-one seems to have had a clean run.

A Subaru Impreza WRC 2000 for me.
ps29 Is right. This rally needs no heroisms...Wish I knew It from the start, and drive In a
more conservative way, but carried away, each time I had a fast and clean section...
So, ended up falling In love with some trees on the French mountains! :D

edit: quite a retro photo you found there Tannat...

Finished the rally in the 206 and it wasn't fun :) Day 1 was a disaster where the only chance of success lies in others' misfortune! Day 2 was better but still miles off normal pace, while Day 3 was catastrophic!!
Overall I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said it was my worst rally ever!

Hmm, given that I love these stages, there is a sniff of victory here, will have to drive properly for this one....

Maybe we should not allow those finishing the rally earlier, posting their report,
so there are not guys like you (ok, and S.Loeb!) driving with tactics :D
Just kiddin' of course...

ps: ps29 Isn't so foolproof afterall, from what read on his report! :p

btw, I used to think running a stage twice during a rally, was a boring thing, but I've changed my mind.
Actualy, 2nd passes through a stage Is a great 2nd chance to take revenge, If the first pass wasn's so good :D

I think it's good to post reports first as it allows for tactics which can create a more exciting result I think. Just wish I'd waited and gone for a slower approach.
And no - I'm most certainly not foolproof!! If I'm lucky I may win Cote D'Arbroz 2 but my hopes are low - I'm just hoping that my good speed in between the crashes helps me out ;)

If this were a 'real' rally ps29 would be seeded first, and drive the stage before all of us.Each of our respective spotters would report back his progress on the stage, etc etc

It is a touch of realism :D

I'm very sorry, but I will have to withdraw my entry. I thought I could do the stages with my steering wheel problems, but sadly, I cannot. I fully intend to buy a new, better steering wheel soon

Keyboard, IR. Its not fun, I'll admit, but just get some times in...

Just finished my runs. Overall I'm very happy with the pace and results. Only 2 real problem stages, the first being the first run through Joux Verte II where I seemed to stall at about 5 hairpins. The fact that I was 10sec quicker on the 2nd run proves that I lost a bit of time there. The 2nd and biggest moment was on the 2nd run through Joux Verte where I arrived too quickly at a downhill hairpin but somehow managed to skate straight on inbetween trees and stop unharmed, a quick reverse and I was away again.

The Xsara felt very good on this event, I did the first stage with the standard setup but found the tail a bit too happy and the brake bias was too rearward for the hairpins, making them a bit tricky. I made a few suspension and brake balance changes before SS2 and they worked very well, the braking was well balanced and the car was almost perfect in balance through the corners, at least very predictable. Only a slight twitchiness at high speed remained but I could drive around that problem.

I'm very happy with the run, probably the cleanest run I've ever had in either this or Cup events, so I'm hoping for a podium.

I have finished my rally and it didn't go well. I did managed put some ok'sh times but I had few small offs on SS5 and SS8 when I overestimated tires grip underbraking. No mechanical damage but I lost quite some time there. Also I struggled to get into a good rhytm on stages with lots of hairpins and I was untidy with my driving at times, which resulted few scares and potentially hazardous incidents.

Dominant day for Neverknow sweeping scratch times on all three stages. Fine showing by Bruce D in the Citroen with second best and a third. LCD took a second best time on SS3 for third place at the end of the day. An off form PS29 finished the day in 4th with Tannat in the Hyundai in 5th.

Points for leg 1: NeverKnow 30, Bruce D 22, LCD 19, PS29 15, Tannat 13

Day two scrambled the order a bit. While NeverKnow won two of the days three stages and maintained his lead PS29 showed his true form finishing the day 2nd overall with a scratch time on SS5. Bruce D continued his excellent run with two third fatest times, and Tannat finished the day 4th ahead of a struggling LCD.

Points after two days of rallying: Neverknow 58, PS29 41, Bruce D 39, Tannat 28, LCD 28.

Day three was basically a rerun of day two, with Neverknow taking his fine run to the finish for his first win of the season. PS29 took his Peugeot to second while a fine drive from Bruce D netted him the final podium spot. LCD regained 4th on SS7, held it through SS8, but troubles on SS9 dropped him to 5th enabling Tannat to take 4th.

Final rally points: Neverknow 96, PS29 75, Bruce D 62, Tannat 48, LCD 45

Well it's nice to get a podium, but I'm actually quite bummed by these results. I put up probably the best performance I've ever done on this event and didn't even get a stage win! :( Was a better than average performance for me but I was hoping for more, especially seen as NK and PS29 had mentioned problems and I didn't really have any. Got to find some more speed somewhere...
