What's happening to the lower order cars that couldn't start SS4? Using alternate route to SS5 & SS6 or gong back to service?

I'm not sure how many times Kris has participated in Rally Finland before.
Last time he drove here was five years ago, and he has never driven here with a WRC car, only with FWD S1600s.

Thanks Miika. Let's hope Joonas will see the finish.
Yesterday Meeke said this year is a high-speed recce for them. On the other hand Sordo have good experience in Finland. Two years ago Sordo was outpacing JML for half of the rally.

Anyone noticed that Sordo outpaced Meeke on 4 of 6 stages so far? It wasn't something I personally expected ... not that Danny is a mediocre driver but there were predictions that he'll be 'destroyed' by Meeke. I guess the experience Sordo has helps a lot, I'm not sure how many times Kris has participated in Rally Finland before.
Who predicted that?

Tanak's commentary via Estonian news portal, rough translation - "i made few mistakes early on, so i eased up a bit. next stages should be more comfortable for me, no problems."
Really excellent times by Hanninen. It is surprising how good times they are putting in on such a high speed rally with the S2000 cars.
There must be something in the customer Fiesta spec being detuned. Ketomaa is barely faster this year with the WRCar than he was with the S2000 last year.
As for Meeke/Sordo I am surprised how close Meeke is to Sordo here with his lack of experience on what is quite a specialised rally.

That was after SS4, but he has lost more time on the next two stages. But OK, his speed is very good still and it's problably wiser to drive more comfortable speeds and not to crash.

Looks quite bad, but fortunately he is so called "gentleman driver" with funds enough to pay car´s restauration!
By the way, do you think that Kimi could also called gentleman driver because he is obiviously paying his driving from his own pocket?
My opinion is that first he must visit a barber shop.

Looking at the entry list, this rally seems to have the biggest number of entries for years, this makes it even more of a discrace that to watch WRC on TV in the UK, you have to pay alot of money for ESPN coverage, very bad for the sport's reputation and sponsors.
The people who keep trying to upload day review videos to YouTube should be classed as heroes by people with an intrest in the WRC.
Also very devious that wrc.com does not have commentary on it's videos, just stupid music.

How many Rally Finlands has Sordo done before?? Meekes pace has been impressive and after his non finish in Sardinia, I would not blame hime for wanting a finish here, as some people have a wrong impression of him as being another "McCrash". If you're going to post nonsenical ravings up here, you might want to support them with some actual statistics and evidence. Meeke has been faster than Sordo on 4 stages so far during this rally, despite not having competed in Finland for over 5 years. He and Paul have earned their place in WRC the tough way and not through the silver spoon method that so many have found themselves there with. His pace has been damned impressive and I am damned proud of my countrymen who are showing that they can hold their own with the best in the world.

Assuming Loeb will lose around 10-15 seconds on the last stage Latvala will have a dilema....slow down to fall behind Loeb thus giving Ogier an advantage or probably 20+ seconds ?? or go flat out (assuming Ogier will slow down not to start first) finish the rally in the lead with a 5 seconds advantage over ogier and 20 over Loeb......tricky decision....lets see. Of course a third option will be to Let ogier start first and he will be second but the difference to Loeb will be much smaller.....

I was just thinking if Loeb did this without Citroën knowing it ... if you understand what I mean. Afterall I am pretty sure Citroën would still prefer to win this rally and since Loeb feels that they are giving tactical info only to Ogier then Loeb just paid the team back by giving the win to Ford.

It is clear enough.. Loeb do not want Ogier to get too many points more than he gets. There is 7 points between 1st and 2nd and there is only 3 points between 2nd and third. Citroen have big lead in manus and Loeb can afford without Quensel whining too much :-P

It may have been that Loeb started 1 min late on purpose, without informing Citroen, to confuse Ogier about his target time. Would that 10 secs penalty be valid? would not?

... and its the last part I disagree on because I don't believe it. I cannot imagine that Quesenel thinks it's ok to give away a possible win to Ford - and that's why I think Loeb did this without the team knowing about it - and that's why I think that all is not well between Loeb and Quensel (Because of what happened in Greece).

Well actually the two Citroëns have been faster that Latvala all day today when you consider road-positions, so I would say that Loeb has sacrified a Citroën-win, because he wants to minimise the points-gap he might lose to Ogier ... but I still refuse to believe that Quesenel would ever agree to giving a chance for a Team-win by doing this.
