Just so everyone is aware....I have to fill in for someone on night shift this weekend (Fri, Sat and Sun nites 6p-6a) eastern time which means that I will be watching bits and pieces of practice, qually and the races off dvr when I get off each morning, but probably won't be finished until sometime Monday nite, so the pickems probably won't be scored until sometime on Tuesday. I really don't see the problem. It isn't prohibited to change picks before the deadline. Deadline for Daytona was, if I'm not mistaken, on Sat 2nd 00:10.

The deadline was the beginning of qualifying which was friday at 16:10 EDT which I believe equates to 20:10 GMT this time of year. In any event, the thread automaticly closes at that time so no further changes can be made. But prior to that u can change your picks ad nauseum if you like. And, although I personally find it distasteful to intentionally copy someone elses picks, there is no rule that bars that practice. I only wonder why one would want to do that. You can't make up any ground on the leader if your picks are the same...

Changing after your competition has put up their picks is poor sportsmanship.

Hey guys just wanted to let ya know...I have been waiting for Nascar to post the official results for the race before I scored the pickem because there was some questions on the finishing order (not sure why, they went all the way to the checkered flag this time). Anyway I'm at work now and wouldn't ya know it, our internet accsess is down....As soon as they get us back on line I'll score it (can't do THAT via my blackberry, unfortunately)....

I see your point. I always thought that when there was an outright tie it was the first person to make the picks that got the win, but alas I am wrong. You are right, too, its all automated, I have no say so in it whatsoever, the computer does it all automatically. I can only note that they BOTH got first place points, per the scoring page.

You make a good point that tolis' name was put as the winner in the thread title, this was an oversight but not something which has happened before!

However if you look at the results page they are placed in equal first place and both are given the full 250 points for the win.
