Hmm, Australia, my favourite. I think it's time to dust off the G25 again for this one.

I shall be participating too. I may get in early and do it today actually due to enormous amounts of work piling up for the weekend...

I'd really hate to see this little RBR community our ours dying, so I'll squeeze my schedule
and try to support the Mod Free championship, since It's the one gathering the majority of entries.
Sign me up for the Australian event with a Subaru Impreza WRC 2000. ;)
Is It official the 2 series are combined from now on, In Tannat's Mod Free ?

That's Bruce's decision, although i would hate to see his fade away. RBR stages get old after awhile...

...RBR stages get old after awhile...
Nothing can be done to change that, since most people don't approve the use of RSRBR mod.
Probably this mod free league will fade out too, when default stages will be used a couple more times...

At the moment my plan is the see out season 3 of the MF Cup, after that we'll see what will happen. I think a merger of offline series is only logical, but if LCD wants to continue the MF Cup as a online/offline thing he proposed then he's welcome to it.
Finished my runs last night, was a decent event, first few stages took a bit to get into the flow of things again but then it felt good. Slightly tricky setup on the Xsara meant that it tended to get sucked into ruts, so that made it slightly more interesting at times. Had a few spins and overshoots along the way but the last few stages were good, until the 2nd run through Mineshaft where I had a massive roll which damaged the cooling, then a went off and got stuck after that and then spun one more time before the engine finally blew literally as I was going over the mineshaft jump. The final stage went ok, but the super rally would have hurt my chances of a good overall position.

Just finished my rally and submitted my times. I have always liked austalian stages and it was a joy to drive. I started the rally little sloppy and had few near misses with the scenery. I slowly adapted my driving style to be more tidy and clean. After that I had fewer moments. I did managed to have a half-spin on SS4 and few scares in high speed section where on one side I had a cliff and on the other side a drop.

Times from Bruce D and NeverKnow thus far...
This will be my first RBR rally using a manual trannny. It is REALLY interfering with my rhythm-made multiple errors resulting from just being all thumbs on brakes, gearbox and throttle, but nothing rally ending just yet. I keep entring turns and junctions with too much speed :(

With manual gears I find you have blip the throttle between downchanges just to keep the car balanced. Funny I would have thought autogears would have made braking harder.

1 clean run out of 9 stages! Quite a success! :D
This rally was full of bad moments. The Australian stages
always been the most visious and tricky of all-especially If you're pushing too hard!
Well, that's what I did, and as a result, I got only a clean run (Greehhills-first pass)
and lots of crashes, offs and calls for help, at the rest of the stages.

I totally muffed this rally- lots of rolls, offs, etc, but no retirements....
Think I'll keep it with the auto box :D

4 sets of times, already PM'd Neil J...
Lemme see if PS29 will be submitting times.
Too bad MacD has no interest in this championship.

I'll say this-when you want to stop you hit only one button (brakes) :D

Sorry for the lateness...again! I will accept a penalty if people are fed up with me being late to submit.
Rally went OK but Day 2 wasn't great. Rally School went well - got a PB for original spec cars.

Mate, I was AMAZED at the ruggedness of my Korean-built car....Could not believe the accidents I was having without even a bump in water temperature.
Envision some of Colin McRae's early days at Subaru-that would be accurate :p

Okay-results forthcoming...
I don't have the luxury of time with my boss back from vacation, but will do leg results. Each leg contains the individual stage times under the drivers name. Simple math and thought can show you where you were after each stage :D

The RBR Mod Free Championship journeyed down under for the sole round held in the Southern Hemisphere this season. Day one of the rally started in ususal fashion with scratch times recorded by NeverKnow (1 scratch) and PS29 (2) with the Subarau driver finishing the day ahead of the Peugeot driver by 9+ seconds. Another 40 seconds adrift in 3rd for day one was LCD returning to the championship with an aged Subaru After setting second fastest time on the opening stage Bruce D had problems on SS3 to finish the day 4th ahead of a struggling Tannat in the Hyundai who was acclimating himself to a new gearchange mechanism.

Day 2 was the day of PS29-a clean sweep of the stages saw the Peugeot driver finish the day with over 56 seconds in hand of the rest of the pack. NeverKnow in the Subaru held second under no threat by the Citroen of Bruce D, the two having swapped 2nd and 3rd fastest stage times throughout the day. LCD maintained 4th in the older Subaru while Tannat struggled on in the Hyundai last.

Day three saw another clean sweep of stages by PS29 (6 straight) earning him the rally win as well as the driver’s championship :champion: and the manufacturer’s championship for Peugeot :champion: .
Second fastest times on each of the final day’s stages ensured second for NeverKnow with a surprise final podium spot going to the Citroen Driver from South Africa- Bruce D.
LCD finished the rally under 30 seconds adrift of third while Tannat was simply pleased to see the end

I am delighted to win the Championship and this rally. Thank you tannat for hosting.
I find it odd how my pace is so much better in the offline cup compared to the RBR MF Cup relative to my opponents. I think this may be because of my extra experience with the 'original' cars as I don't use RSRBR - I assume this changes the car's physics slightly? Either way, happy to win, well done to all and see you in France.

Indeed, cars and tracks physics are changed In RSRBR mod. I'd say they are even more sim-maybe a bit too much. :D
