I think I'm going to celebrate his incredible life, and all the joy and excitement he brought to generations of open-wheel fans both at the IMS, and those who watched on TV, or listened on the radio. His voice will be missed, but I've got lots of terrific memories.

First sound I heard my first visit to IMS was his voice opening the track for practice on carburetion day. He is a legend with an unmistakable voice. IMS will never be the same.

I echo nigel's comments. When I was a kid my family and I would go up every bump day. As soon as I would hear that voice, a shiver would run up my spine and the hairs on the back of my neck would stand up. For me, and I'm sure many, many people, Tom was "THE VOICE" none will ever replace him, and he will be sorely missed. RIP
