Benetton Formula Limited

If Renault own the rights to Benetton Formula Limited then why are they trying to resurrect the name Lotus and cause a ruckus when they could just as easily run the name Benetton and put flashy colours all over their cars again?

The way I figure it, there's just as much kudos to be had in the name Benetton was there is Lotus. After all Schumacher did win twice in a Benetton.

But there wasn't a similarly-named team in F1 doing excellent work building up awareness of the brand name in 2010, unlike Lotus.

Renault are cashing in on Fernandes' good work, in my opinion.

What, and give away free advertising to Benetton itself? That's a shonkier corporate decision than even the Lotus deal...
