One step down (the FCC), one more to go (the Justice Dept. latter today).

Both steps complete if they comply with Justice Dept requirements.

Good news indeed. The more I think about it, the more I think Randy Bernard has something up his sleeve. Last off-season, we had the TV schedule out long before this time as far as I remember, and these quotes from INDYCAR brass saying they've been advised not to do anything regarding on-air talent and the like, and that Randy Bernard and the head of IMS productions have been quoted as saying they've prepared for this day, leads me to think Randy has some sort of deal in place to better the series TV package.

I think the TV package will be tweaked now NBC/Comcast are now one....

The last millstone around Randy's neck may be solved, and while he didn't have to do it himself, it is fortunate that it is happening...

No deal for NBC can be approved yet but Comcast does have two-network deals on the platter. Comcast's Golf Channel has weekday rounds and prime-time rebroadcasts of FedEx Cup tournaments of both NBC and CBS under the PGA Tour banner. I wonder if in 2013 we'll see NBC and Versus in INDYCAR. The current ESPN Broadcast Network deal is for five races -- Indy, Milwaukee, and two other current races, and the new race at the end of the year (which has not been announced but is likely Las Vegas).

Can I watch the races online? I guess SKY tv in the UK wil be showing the races, not that I'm gonna give sky any money.
