Last time this rally had a sucessful thread so why not this year aswell ;)

This beautiful rally is back after one year of absence , with a great entry list .

Any info on the conditions , snow predictions ?

Till last weekend we had wonderful snow conditions. Unfortunately it was quite warm this week. In the lower regions of the rally we currently have a mixture of snow, ice an tarmac on the roads. But I don´t know how it looks like in the regions above 600 meters.

This weekend we should have some more snow. The predictions for next week are not good.

Yes. Skoda has not interest on Janner Rally start.

AFAIK they are ordered by new FIA classes. Class 11 are diesel cars and class 12 are austrian H class (old Evos, Ladas, etc)

Thank you. Strange to see also the N4 cars, S2000's and the smaller cars like a Clio in other classes.

Seems like the results are becoming a litlle bit more "normal". Are the conditions becoming better or what is the reason. Aigner and Baumschlager coming back strongly now.

Václav Pech rolled and retired due to big time loss. It was his only second roll in his career and again in Jänner...

Černý had some problems with engine (nothing serious but he was on safety mod for some time).

OK...but at least a C2R2 Max or even a Clio R3 would bring more 2WD datas to him in view of Monte-Carlo ;)

this is mean! some really bad luck, to retire after sutch a very small mistake must be hard!

Hmm, that's strange opinion from You. Everyone's right is to put protest. Protest is a tool which keeps competition fair.

Everyone competing is OBLIGED to have car which suits ALL regulations. Rules are clearly given black on white. It's not Waldherr's fault that the car wasn't ok.

Yes, to protes is OK, but Waldherr started this false campaign in the rally community, in the public, in the media sooner already, without protesting first,trying to hide his inferiority. This was not OK. And then, you know it very well, Waldherr protest included many points, from which 95% or so were rejected and the only point was something that gave Harrach no advantage in terms of speed!! So - Waldherr tried it and was lucky. If you'd protest in 20 points against - let's say Aigner, Pech, Orsák, or even Waldherr - I believe at least one would be disqualified for something he is not aware of himself and probably isn't bringing any advantage to him...
The point is - Waldherr is not constantly losing to the earl because he cheets... he is simply better. Last year he lost something he deserved and today he will gain something, that he might not have hoped for... justice isn't blind... ;-) don't take me too serious :-D

So done and over - Harrach in front of Baumschlager... 8-) None of the 5 favourites could win...
Nice placing (5.) for the veteran Rosenberger.
Altogether - very good return of the Janner rally!!! The best winter rally in the Middle Europe again!

I dont think it is the best way. There was regular service between last stage and finish of the rally. Nobody told about sealing bonnet for this service. For example Jarek Orsak had problems, that his car was loosing fuel somewhere from engine and they wanted to check it. It should be nice, if the car will arrive to final podium in Messehalle and during waiting to final ceremony the should car caught fire...
