Story in this weeks MN quoting upwards of 10 crews are likley to be contesting some if not all of the BTRDA rounds in WRC cars and that includes a certain red Peugeot!

I know it can be a contentious issue for some with such machinery being included in the series but with the demise of the ANCRO championship at least the cars will get the chance to compete in a proper gravel based series.

So what is happening to old ANCRO events, e;g Swansea Bay, Severn Valley??

The championship is dead. No one to run it and not enough entries. Combining it with the BRC and a single tyre formula appears to have accelerated it's demise. Regards the individual events I dont know I'm afraid.

Yeah, I knew it had come to an end, a real shame, it's not that long ago it was a fantastic series. The single tyre was a huge mistake, as they always are.
Moving the Bulldog from the October series finale to March and the BRC was another kick in the teeth.
The BRC is International in name only - take the Bulldog, Pirelli and Trackrod in my view they don't have enough mileage and are just over a day of Rallying, not enough for the supposed one step below IRC/ WRC. The Sunseeker is even less.....

Yep next years BTRDA looks set to be a good un :D Wyedean usually gets the best entry of the year too so should make for a good TV programme once more :)

Also don't forget it's the last year of the Peugeot Cosworth and last chance for Andy to win in that car so if the reliability is there, that car will be singing!

Ive just looked at how much it would cost me to follow the BTRDA this year and the answer is, well, quite a bit! it would be £500 at least on fuel let alone stage entry and all the food I require!

I'm doing most rounds next year, likely to be missing Malcolm Wilson and Dukeries and that's it.
