first goal came from an obvious dive followed by a cross to some guy who was off side. then an hands ball. the hands ball rule is so unclear these days that it can be easily used to make the score "right" when needed. and it was. thanks God for VAR though. A Champions League final, between City and Chelsea... the horror. Only City vs PSG would have been worse, but we avoided that by having the horror show in the semis. Never thought I'd ever become such a diehard Real supporter as I've been this week.

And then the Super League. What an awesome idea. Ignoring the uncontrollable greed behind it, the idea of having European derbies every weekend, way to make something that used to be a special event just another football match.

The proposed (or approved?) new champions league format is pretty horrible. Not as horrible as the new World Cup format, but there's potential. We can get there.

I should be disappointed, but I have been both a Liverpool and England supporter for more years than is healthy, so I kind of expected this World Cup to go the same way as every other one ��. Would love to see Morocco do the impossible and win. Still … any World Cup that sees Germany not get out of the group stage and Brazil and Portugal get sent home early can’t be all bad, I mean who is going to do all the diving now?
