They are calling it a six pack for 2011. Knaus is the driving force behind this team. They are already talking about next year for cryin out loud.

You can thank Dan Patrick for that one. JJ made a call in appearance on the Dan Patrick show this morning and Dan made the 6 pack reference in a question he was asking Jimmie (something to the effect of "So Jimmie, you've completed the drive for 5, so what will you be going for next year, a 6 pack or something?" JJ laughed said he like that idea and lamented that he didn't sign a beer sponsor for next year. It was actually pretty funny listening to it.

I think one of the dumbest responses was a guy from yahoo. they are calling Johnson the greatest driver ever, but I think they forgot about Sebastian Loeb. and his response was because there are only 9 or so drivers that can knock him off, yet Loeb just dominates anyone of whatever terrain.

Jimmie is one of the top 5 or 6 NASCAR drivers ever in terms of results. People can love him or hate him, but he beats everyone else year after year so who is to say he cant do it again?

AS Monte Dutton pointed out a few weeks ago, people have to accept him as the favourite until someone finally knocks him off.

Believe it or not, Mark, I actually agree with you for the most part. We don't agree about the flawed system on which he got his championships, but just going on race by race results, (wins, t5's, t10's) he's right there week in and week out. No matter what the track type (except maybe road courses, and that's a BIG maybe) he is the driver to beat, PERIOD.

You don't have to like the chase, and I get why you don't but had it not arrived, I don't doubt that he would be in the hunt and would have won a few championships if not all 5. Because of the nature of how the first 26 races are the regular season, in a sense he and Chad are more aggressive and more experiemental, knowing they usually have a cushion. Come those last 10, that is the real team 48, just relentlessly efficient. As for road courses, did he not win at the Glen this year? I know he had a pole. The days of his not being a threat there are pretty much a fiction too.....

I am not a big Jimmie fan, but the stats and what this guy has done are pretty irrefutable...he is always the guy to beat....

IMO, Knaus is the driving force behind this team. The season was 10 minutes old and he was talkin about '11. Then, they went testing on the monday after the awards banquet. Crazy.
