This could be interesting:


The key change is that cars MUST use at least one set of each specification of the dry tyres provided by Bridgestone in the course of the race, except if the driver has used wet or extreme weather tyres. The aim of this rule is to try to improve the show with some cars handling better than others on the two different types of rubber. In order for the commentators and fans to know what is happening, the tyres will be visibly distinguishable. This will be done with white markings on the sidewalls which have yet to be decided by Bridgestone.

There are also some tweaks to the safety car procedure.

I don't understand. Does it mean that there's a fixed number of pitstops if they need to use every specification during the race? How many specifications are there anyways?

So are the tyres with the marks the hards or softs?

Also, I think it's much better than the red stripe. That was just was too Cart for mine! A 'subtle' white marking seems ok.

In Champ Car the soft tires are the ones with the mark.

Erki there are no fixed number of pits, just at least 1.

useless rules, let teams figure out thier own tire strategy now that everyone is running the same specs

I just hope the softer compound allows enough laps for a one stop strategy to be feasable, if it melts after 20 laps it affects too much what teams can choose as their strategy.
