Difficult one but I suspect that this might still be the backlash of the fuel crisis that goes on within the MSA. Also I know that Dave Appleby has sold up and is concentrating on racing this year (but thought he might have hired something) and Steve Fleck is still recovering from his broken arm but has no car either (sold his S8 to me and his S9 to Melvyn Evans) The fuel thing would however be a problem with Hendy, Simpson and probably Kynaston.

Sad for the sport I think :(

i agree the night stage at bocconnoc estate last year was a cracker did hear a rumour that appelby was gonna hire an aston but nothing so far.these fuel regs are going to spoil the sport for spectators aswell as competitors

Cornwall isn't a round of the MSA Asphalt Championship this year; but the second round of the BTRDA series, in which WRC's or Metro's can't score any points

That's why the 'big boys' don't enter Cornwall I believe

Thats it in a nutshell! There are two distinct tarmac championships this year and Cornwall isnt a round of the "big boys" series not that there will be many of them left following the events earlier this month..

It will be interesting to see if the debacle of Epynt repeats itself in Cornwall....

Was planning on going but will probably give it a miss. I usually find it a bit damp, have to work really hard to get away from the mickey mouse camp site stuff and even then it's rarely good. If there aren't going to be any quicker drivers about then I may not bother.

Just had a look at the entry list, seems that if the National MSA series doesn't return then the Tour might not last for that much longer. 61 drivers and apart from a few quick 'local's with half decent machinery like Furzeland, Dillow and Tregonging it's quite a poor entry considering it's history.

That said I'm sure all the crews will be out there giving it their best a providing a good show.

Not being keen on getting up early I'd miss most of the spectator stages and without knowing the other stages and times (usually gleen them out of one source or another) I'll give it a miss this year. Besides with Exeter City in the race for promotion I feel my Saturday will be much better spent supporting the Grecians to a win :D
