Early stages yet while the new chums sort themselves and their bikes bikes out and settle in with their respective teams but indications are that 2011 may be a more interesting season for this class.

Great to see the kangaroo out front on the Honda on day 2 with Spies and Simoncelli up there as well.

When Burgess works his magic on the Duc and Rossi adapts then look out!

yeah, nice to see so many Honda´s to challenge the rest of the field at the test days and it looks like Stoner is there already even with the Honda. Of course the test results don´t tell so much at the moment as the season is just over.

Also the speed of Spies has been good to see with the Yamaha factory machine. I expect quite much from him at the next season and of course Lorenzo will be tough to beat too.

What comes to Ducati´s, it may take some time for Rossi to make it his bike but Rossi has done magic with earlier bikes so I expect him to be very competitive at next season. Ducati´s has always had a great engine so this time he doesn´t have to complain for the speeds for sure. Still its surely a bit messed up bike at the moment. Somehow I see that most of the problems of the other Ducati riders who weren´t able to drive the bike were due Casey´s unique settings but with that experience and riders who them are having now...them really should get it fitting to most of them riders.

Stoner was predictably fast and has given his rivals plenty to worry about during the off-season.
Hopefully Pedrosa's arm heals, was complaining of problems leading to fears of nerve damage which would be terrible.
Ben Spies and Marco Simoncelli continued their super-impressive improvement and will surely fight for victories next year.
Alvaro Bautista was very impressive on his Zook, even in cold conditions. Hopefully a sign of things to come.
Randy seems to have slipped onto a Ducati very nicely and it might just be that this bike might just be a good fit for his aggressive riding nature (I think this was floated as a theory a couple of years ago).
Crutchlow will be a bit of a slowly-slowly approach I think, just learning all that he can.
Finally, whilst it may have just been the first test with little bearing on next season, the Rossi camp must have been disappointed with their first run on the Duc. It's not the end of the world and there will be no panic stations but I can't ever remember Rossi being third last in a field for a test. The team from Bologne will have a very busy few months indeed.
