So, any truth to rumors that Travis Pastrana is coming to Nascar with Michael Waltrip Racing?

I'm just curious what people's thoughts are.

It'd be a bit of an about-turn, wouldn't it? I thought he'd previously expressed no desire to "drive around in circles" and preferred the rally stages.

I think it's great. I love how drivers from other forms of motorsports want to come to NASCAR.

Certainly his rallying career is going nowhere, so NASCAR would be the logical choice. Though I wish it was him, not Ken Block, securing a WRC drive with Monster energy drinks.

Confirmed, 7 races in 2011 in the Nationwide Series, 20 in 2012 as Pastrana-Waltrip Racing.

I wasn't familiar with Travis Pastrana but I've just watched some videos about him on YT and this guy's nuts.

Definitely a great addition to Nascar

With Travis and Ricky Carmichael now on track, does this mean the AMA Supercross and Motocross series are going to become official NASCAR feeder series? ;)

NASCAR has regular pay checks. No other form of racing seems to have this other than F1....

At least it's a place where professional drivers from other series still want to try their hand. Unlike some other series.
