Ah now some of you may notice there are tarmac stages in this one. Well, for one of the very few times in SA rally history the first day of this event was an all-tar affair in real life, so I decided to make a quick change in the route to represent this. Have fun!
Remember the drivers championship is real close so lets see what happens.

Just sent in my entry. Itinerary looks interesting. I recon on the first day S2000 cars will make minced meat out of my Subaru but the second day should be more even in terms of performance.

I've been practicing on the tarmac stages, and finding the Skoda a bit loosey-goosey on left right transitions, but actually its not the car-it's me being a bit ham fisted with the analog PS2 controller...
Got it about 95% right on one run of Cote D'arbroz and was very pleased with the resulting time

Rally finished! Asphalt day was very clean and pretty fast at some occasions. Couldn't say the same for gravel stages though...
Day 2 started great at Chirdonhead, but got unlucky at East West and lost some precious time there...
Entered the final stage, willing to push and gain some of the lost time, but Harwood Forest was prooved for once more a ruthless stage...
I'll upload some footage shortly!Overall It was another great event of the series that had Its own Identity! Looking forward to the results!

Firstly, you're lucky to have finished :p :
Secondly, do you use a wheel, joypad or keyboard? Looking at your front wheels, they move from 0-100% lock instantaneously which suggests that you use a keyboard.

I have finished my rally. No major incidents, only few driving driving errors here and there.
Day one was actually pretty good, better than I expected. On tarmac Subie really felt heavy around the corners and in the hairpins. Also I wasn't impressed with the brakes, which mildly said were little bit soft, even on the highest pressure. I could use 100% of brake pressure without locking up the wheels on any speed. This meant I had to brake earlier for the corners and possibly lost some time to this.
Day two was ok. Had few near misses on SS6 but that's about it.
Some pictures (http://s274.photobucket.com/albums/jj267/t6nns/Gauteng%20Rally/) from my rally and onboards from SS3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YHPjq0zPFg)and SS4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2QFnuvP12Q).

Just submitted times. With LCD having a rough rally and Bruce D out, no need for us to push as I don't think I can challenge the faster guys...
Still had a roll on east west and was very uncomfortable with the car on Harwood (wrong setup)

That's why maybe rally reports shouldn't allowed, before all competitors submit their times,
so there are no guys like Tannat racing with strategy! :D

Hey- I didn't ask you to talk

really-rather than dive at 10/10ths I went at probably 9.5/10ths. Not so mucvh slower...
But you know if this were a 'real' rally items such as Bruce D's wreck and your offs would be reported... :D
really tough to truly replicate the run order etc etc of a real rally situation offline, unfortunately...

Paul writes:
Well, all in all, this rally went quite well.
For starters, I absolutely lit up the stages in the first leg, setting new PB’s on both Cote D Arbroz and Jeux Plane – even faster than my WRC timesm so I was very pleased. Then in the third stage, on Cote D Arbroz II I got unstuck and rolled going through the town. Luckily for me, it landed upright and I think I only lost about 10 seconds there.
Onto the second Leg and I just ran the stages as well as I could without puching too hard. So Chirdonhead went off okay, no hassle.
I love East-West but took it a little easier than I normally would, to stop any accidents. Not a bad time in the end I thought.
Then on the third stage, Harwood Forest, I made a mistake again, think I rolled, can’t remember, but recovered okay to set a time, slightly off, but also don’t think it will hurt me.
Can’t wait for results – could be a close one.

Is it Jeux Plane or Joux Verte? I did Joux Verte in my run.
Overall not a great rally, not too bad though either. Every stage was a bit steady-eddie although I felt good on the two Arbroz stages.

Sorry guys, but I'm not able to post results this week. I've been booked off work for the rest of the week as I've picked up the bug my son had, and I don't have any way of getting my stuff from my PC there so I'll only be able to post on Monday.

A blessing in disguise. I've been up to my eyes with college assignments, but I can get the rally done this weekend now, if that's ok?

I've finished my run. It was a lacklustre performance. I've been suffering a little personal problem so my heart was anywhere but in the driving today. Nonetheless, I was fairly pleased with my time on Cote d'Abroz II.

FINAL RESULTS
In the end it was easily Francis44's rally, taking yet another win. However sneaking into 3rd place and therefore the championship was Paul Minnaar! Skoda used a big force of cars to get back the Manufacturers title, while the other titles were already finished. Results book will be email later today.
