I've split my favourites into 2 catergories. Aircraft and Cars.

The best aircraft ever are

1) Stealth Bomber- looks like it's from 500 years in the future
2) Spitfire- the reason I'm not speaking German
3) Eurofighter- defies gravity! (just beat the Blackbird on to my list)

The best cars ever are

1) Jaguar XJ220- sex on wheels!
2) Aston Martin DB7- saved aston martin
3) Mini- changed the way cars were designed.

However I think that the ultimate vehicle of all time is the Apollo rocket. :)

Cars
1) Nissan Skyline GTR GC10 'Hakasuka'. The car that gave birth to the legend of the GTR
2) Ferrari Enzo. Just sooooooooooooo drool-worthy
3) Volvo 340/360 simply because I want a tuned one in matt black with Escort RS200 rally car arches, slammed on coilovers and 14" minilites with chrome lips and black centres, full rollcage, lsd, fiberglass bonnet to save weight, fia spec buckets and about 250bhp from turbo, intercooler, chip and free flow exhaust and it's rear wheel drive :burnout:

Most people may not appreciate the classic lines of the 1957 Chevrolet.
However it is my all-time favorite car .....
My dream version has a warmed-up smallblock V8, Crager SS mags, rolled & pleated seats ......

Cars:

1) Dodge Viper GTS http://www.geocities.com/slt52002/tightcars/vip.jpg My favourite car of all time, totally in love with the thing

2) TVR Cerbera Speed 12 http://news.caradisiac.com/IMG/jpg/tvr_cerbera_speed_bims_04.jpg completely insane and ultra rare, this is the only road version in the world

3) Lamborghini Countach http://www.timpelen.com/images/cars/countach_lp500_s_img01.jpg
THE poster car

Planes:

1) SR71 Blackbird http://www.mfgl.li/bildergalerie/bilder/flieger_echt/jet22_g.jpg fastest plane ever, flew on the edge of space, unshootdownable because no missiles could keep up with it!

2) The legendary Spitfire http://www.aeroflight.co.uk/types/uk/supermarine/spitfireI-III/spitfire.jpg for same reasons as mentioned in first post

3) Sukhoi SU27 http://www.travelcentre.com.au/travel/airshows/Images/su27.jpg capable of some completely ridiculous manouvers

Because they had more of them :?:

Together Spitfires and Hurricanes were a formidable fighting force. :)

Partly, yes. But then you have to ask yourself why this was so. Mostly because the design was cheaper and easier to build and could stand up to more damage than the Spitfire.

Technologically of course, the Spitfire is by far and away the best, but in a wartime situation that's not always the best solution.

IMO the Hurricane had the best compromise

I think that accolade goes to...

http://moblog.co.uk/blogs/52/moblog_913fee367cf9d.jpg

The Underground Train.

Although perhaps disliked by many people, it would be hard to imagine a city like London even functioning without them. The Underground has an iconic map which has been appropriated the world over and its roundel serves as one of the symbols of the city itself.

And it's about the only thing in London which makes the city tolerable.

What abput the CAC CA-27? The RAAF operated them with Avons in them and thus had an aircraft6 that could fly further, faster and outturn the US built F-86
