Hill topped the first session ahead of Michael Laverty by 0.378s, Michael Rutter challenged for the top spot early on but later dropped to 3rd. Kiyonari was 4th, but Brookes ended 13th fastest ahead of Q2. Seeley ended up 11th.

Kiyo crashed on his first flying lap at Hawthorn in the final top ten shootout and was unable to set a time. Now starts from position 10.


I still don't agree with the shootout system.

Great races. What a race for Kiyonari in race 2. Tommy Hill and Michael Laverty gave us much spectacle too.

Finally again two podiums for Stuart Easton. A pity that he can't move in the standings with that stupid showdown system.

I am very happy that Eurosport has signed a 5-year deal for the BSB and that I am able to watch the races. :)
