Worst kept secret in MotoGP (along with Stoner to Honda). I'm sure they'll be more competitive next year after the experience of this year. Whether they can improve enough to knock off Lorenzo and Yamaha is the big question mark. It'll sure be interesting (and hopefully exciting).

i would like to know how much of the championships where down to rossi
and how much of it was down to jeremy burgess ?

Jeremy Burgess has been motorcycle racing chief engineer to three world champions: Wayne Gardner (http://www.motorsportforums.com/wiki/Wayne_Gardner), Mick Doohan (http://www.motorsportforums.com/wiki/Mick_Doohan) and Valentino Rossi (http://www.motorsportforums.com/wiki/Valentino_Rossi).[1] (http://www.motorsportforums.com/forums/#cite_note-2003move-0) He was also a mechanic on Freddie Spencer's team when Spencer won the 500cc World title in 1985.

Jeremy and Rossi have worked together since the end of 1999, which was in fact the time that Valentino stepped up to the 500CC class (now called MotoGP).. Every title Rossi got on the 500cc/MotoGP, was with Jeremy Burgess

Though I'm not sure Jeremy will join him at Ducati. Something in me says he could join Stoner at Honda. Guess we'll just have to wait

From what Jennie Gow was pointedly saying yesterday I think that we'll see Cal Crutchlow on the Tech3 bike with Spies moving up to partner Jorge now. When whatsherchops interviewed Cal on the grid she was as subtle as a sledgehammer ;)

Who are Honda dropping and where are they bound for? Dovi to partner Rossi at Ducati or take Edwards' place at Tech3? Can't see the latter TBH, mainly because if I were Yamaha then I'd want Andrea on the factory bike rather than the satellite.

This move makes senses, this time strength of teams are almost equal, Rossi has the same opportunity to complete the record scoring victory in three or even four different bikes using Ducati. Rider with superb talent and strong mentality would be able to emerge from the six factory riders. Let's see whether his mind game would work out to the Lorenzo-Spies combo. Pedrosa-Stoner don't seem too much pay it attention to hold off Rossi's pressure.

Spies has been performing convincingly on satellite team, and hence deserve the chance being promoted to factory team.

Tech 3 is not bad place for the lot like Dovisiozo considering todays Yamaha supply them with bikes and parts are not significantly left behind their factory team.

Dovi's contracted to HRC though - he triggered a performance clause earlier in the season. So either Honda tear that up so he can move or he'll be more likely in Gresini with HRC mechanics or a new satellite team.
