The MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship returns to Brands Hatch for the first proper triple header of the season.Ryuichi Kiyonari who after his 38th win in bsb at the last round at snetterton, which overtook John Reynolds' record total of 37 race victories will be after more race victories.James Ellison knows that he needs nothing less than three victories for the Swan Honda team this weekend at Brands Hatch if he is going to make it inside the top six come the Showdown after the next round at Cadwell Park.Ellison just missed out on a return to the podium at Snetterton, but with five races and 125 points still up for the taking, it is still mathematically possible for him to get inside the top six as the countdown to the Showdown continues.

Thanks, good luck to him. Since I have Eurosport 2 now, I will follow the BSB and the other British classes more. I am really looking forward to see my first BSB races live on TV this Sunday.

Is it also an one-shot for Ian Lowry on the PBM Kawasaki?

Tomorrow I see some British racers too as I go to the European Rallycross Championship in Maasmechelen.

Alastair Seeley has taken his first British Superbike race victory after a ten lap sprint in wet conditions at Brands Hatch,The Ulsterman won after a restart, when rain eight laps into the first start forced a red flag and a shortened race.Michael Rutter had looked on course for a second win of the season from pole position after stretching out a good lead before the rain came and forced a red flag.

Brilliant win for Seeley in tough conditions which with Kyo in third has helped my MCN dream team no end!

Bad error from Crecent Suzuki getting Hill out too late for the restart and so making him have to start from the back of the grid, it was never going to be easy in that spray!

What is going on with Easton though, its like they are putting someone else on the bike under his name at the moment. Its such a change from last year and the start of this season :(

What a big crash of Seeley and Pitt in race 2. Nice that Sykes took two race wins.

Great races. I hope Pitt his injuries aren't to bad.

Well thanks to the World superbike entry Ellison is Two points adrift ofJust maybe getting into the top 6. What a shame. If only Tom Sykes hadn't chosen this week end of all week ends to race. He is still not walking well yet and obviously still in Pain. But he managed some pretty good results anyway. I hope he gets some podiums for the remainder of the season.
