J-WRC. That means January World Rally Championship. Usually driven on the snow and ice. Sometimes they drive in June and July as well. Due to the heat they are still thinking about ice and snow:-P

S-WRC. September World Rally Championship. Usually those who are not allowed to go back to school in September go there to compete with each other.

P-WRC. Past World Rally Championship. The cars driving in this championship are so much slower than WRC-World Rally championship cars that it looks like they are driving in a very distant past.

I hope you are not going to ask about FX Pro girls :-P

I particularly like this one: http://wrc.com/manufacturers/
I guess they can add Mini in to fill the space.

I like it, simple and easy to navigate, although I do hate how they mangled the pictures in the galleries, come on guys, compressing an image properly isn't that hard :D

They have to manage better galleries and videos... and removing right-hand ads!

the drivers section of the WRC.com is very nice...

they have ogier as finnish...also the reasons to support some of the paying sick dogs of the series are very very amusing....

Exactly.

Anyone new to rallying does not know what J WRC is. If the official website for the world rally championship does not explain.

What hope does the sport have for new people interested?

Josti
28th July 2010, 22:19
At least it's much better than before (that was a mess). Not sure how they chose those colours, first orange and now apple green, but it looks ok. Navigating is also much easier. Wow, first Mini now this, good things can happen for WRC!

N.O.T
28th July 2010, 22:20
any person interested enough will be smart enough to google "what is JWRC" "Jwrc rally" ects....if he is not that smart then we could do without him in the sport.

I agree, if they're really interested, they'll do some research. Hell, you get better info on Wikipedia than the official WRC site.

;)
But why can we help this new one to the sport? Off course he can use Google. But he or she (?) is on the main WRC forum to ask a question!
Could we give a normal answer?

I do:
-S WRC is Championship for S2000 cars.
-J WRC for Juniors. (I forgot the age)
-P WRC for Production cars.
But Past Championship is not bad chosen by Bluuford.

I hope you enjoy to watch this sport! It would be exciting, in 2011 I hope.

Like father like son, rallying is in Matt Wilson’s genes[/*:m:3v7m5rrf]
He’s ultra reliable and getting much quicker - 10 top-ten finishes in 2009[/*:m:3v7m5rrf]

Sorry.. I was amused by her/his number of posts..
Anyway, I found that Loeb has started in 13 rallies and has won 58 of those :-)
http://www.wrc.com/drivers-and-teams/drivers-hall-of-fame/sebastien-loeb/?whoid=12

And if you look at the other champions profiles you can see that most of them have done between 10 and 15 starts. What a champions!

And winner still gets 10 points :-)
http://www.wrc.com/about-wrc/?page=233

And when you go under the JWRC and you still get "what is WRC". It is confusing to read there that there are absolute best drivers with WR cars.
They should remove those general links from that row. Otherwise, very confusing.

In general, the site looks much better than before. Beginning is good but a lot of work still needs to be done!

Actually Loeb is so good he can probably do that....

I wonder if Ogier is going to win finland since according to WRC.com he is a local.

We need to email the wrc.com contact page all the faults and how there is no basic explanation on WRC, JWRC, SWRC, PWRC.

Looks are defiantly easier on the eye, but is it just me or is the split timing no longer a site feature?

N.O.T

split times are there go to results pick the flag of the rally you want and you can see them

Now you have to go under the rallies section to get the results:
http://www.wrc.com/results/2010/neste-oil-rally-finland/split-times/
When you go under the results, then you get the championship standings.

The problem that result data (stage/split times) goes AWOL from time to time is an old problem, it existed before. I think that they did only changed the presentation layer, data layer beneath is the same and thus suffers from the old problems as well.

indeed it is an old problem and because of that i think its a disgrace that they still
haven't bothered to fix it since they have had this problems for many years.
