Help me out here please...
Did a clean Install of winxp lately and when I start RSRBR2010, after completing a stage, It doen't exit to the RS control panel, but remains
at the Ingame menu ( restart, retire, save replays, exit to main menu e.t.c)
and can exit only with alt+ctrl+del! That seems to work out, but RSRBR2010 exits too, and doesn't record my time!
Any Idea, what should be going wrong ?
( Installed RSRBR2010 mod+updates+everything, 3 times and still no good... )

maybe u have to update first windows xp run all the updates that are u can get and also update all your drivers!
because there is a change that u installed something from windows before that use to close the game and go back to rs center
Thanks Blazquez, but I think It's because of RSRBR latest updates
( updates 4,5 ) or BTB latest updates ( update 5 )
There are also cars missing from cars selection list!
Does anyone happen to know the safe Install order?
I followed this one:
1.RBR original
2.RBR official patch 1,2
3.RSRBR2010 mod
4.RSRBR updates 3,4,5
5.RSRBR complete cars pack
6.BTB packs 1,2,3,4,5
Please help-I wouldn't like to miss SAiRC rnd5!!!!! :D

I think that is the correct installation order. You should not have any problems.
I'm currently redownloading complete cars pack and the lates btb pack after installing update 5. Let's see if I encounter any problems after installing them.

It was released yesterday night so I'd say it is new. :p
Anyway I've installed update 5, btb 5 and the new complete cars pack and I've not encountered any problems yet. Though I've had few menu appearances after stage have been run (alt+F4 fixed that) but RSRBR still recorded the stage time.
LCD if you still experience these problem, maybe you should update only to update 4, do the rally, and after that try to get update 5 working.

Yeah the updated physics do make a difference.
The car is much faster going out of hairpins but much less stable too, I can say that I have a hard time not spinning out of the road when using handbrake, and the suspension is a little bit higher so on flatout cornering it's not as stable as it used to be.
I think they tried to improve the car seeing it was slower than the 207, but it can take time to adapt to the new physics.
Anyway on gravel it's not that noticeable but on tarmac it's almost a completely different car.

Welcome to the league! Hopefully you enjoy it. No need to send replays though, unless you do what the other guys do and post them on YouTube and give a link here.

Off the line the revs bog down-it didn't previously.
It seems perhaps a bit more loose and not quite as precise with steering. I took a brief spin the in the 207 and was made a believer-go roaring lion...

lost more then 2 minutes at SS6 - Shepherds Shield II because of a mega crash :dozey:
I also crashed out of SS2 - Greenhills II (Australia) couldnt go on i had to retire =/
overall it was just bad very bad but next time better! =D
Bruce D
22nd July 2010, 06:44
Well we all had bad events to start with, so it's a matter of seeing how you compare on the stages you know you got right. The problem with this league is that everyone is pushing so hard that you do really have to push just to be in the running, and sometimes you're going to fall off the road.
Here I am guys, alive and kicking after solved RSRBR2010 problems!
(Some bloody tojans must have caused the whole thing :angryfire )
I'm entering this one, with a new car: Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8!
Have a good race!

Cool, got them.
Did my run last nite. Was ok, had some good times, but lost a bit here and there. Had a stupid off on Greenhills II where I tried to take the corner between the 2 junction right corners flat, and hit the spectators instead. Anyway, hopefully the result isn't as bad as it looks right now.

I know that turn. The call is "don't cut" but it is SO cut-able.
About 2/3rds into the stage?

Just did my rally and I didn't had major dramas, though I did struggle with understeer during the event which caused few slight offs. Lost maybe 10-15 seconds to these mistakes.
On SS1 I've got good rhytm but didn't quite get the hairpins right. I fear I lost some times to S2000 cars on this one because my Subaru didn't fancy those twisty roads.
SS2 was ok but on SS3 I took it little safe. I breaked too early at the junctions as well.
The second day went without incidents, few driving mistakes here and there when I tried to go too fast and the car barely stayed on the road. I think I also found a new favourite stage in RBR and it is Shepherds Shield II which reminds slightly the stages at Rally Finland, very fast and flowy but if you get the corners wrong you end up in the scenery.

Yeah that one. Stupid of me really cos I would never have stopped in time for the next junction. It's easy flat the other way but you're going faster in that direction.

I'm in on this one. There are no Fiats in the line-up yet so I've decide to give the Grande Punto a chance at this rally and see how I fare.
My times are In Bruce!
Here's my report:
Bisanne II was quite scary, with a roll over at the beginning of the stage
and some more bad moments later on. Greenhills II was quite good and the night stage
was one of my best night runs so far! Shepherds Shield was furious and risky. In Chirdonhead II
had a spun, but got back to the road quickly and Shepherds Shield was fine, except an off road,
at the first fast right, after start. The change of car, was a clever thing to do, at this point
of the championship, as I think I got almost everything this car could give
me through the stages!
Overall, a quite fast rally but technically demandful too,
and that's the way I like It! ;)
Media coming shortly...

Cool got them. BTW LCD your old account keeps sending me links to viruses.
Just to let you guys know, the real VW Rally ran this weekend, and ended in a 1.5sec gap between 1st and 2nd! This follows the Rally of SA where the winning margin was 0.7sec. So 2 rallies in a row with less than a 2sec winning margin.
Cool got them. BTW LCD your old account keeps sending me links to viruses.

FINAL RESULTS
Yet another win for Francis44 in the Peugeot 207, but a great dice for second between NeverKnow and Paul Minnaar which eventually went the way of the Estonian.
Tannat took 4th ahead of LCD and a rather off the pace BruceD. A nice debut for Blazquez, setting some decent times and having a nice scrap with ctbr throughout, except for the big loses of time on some stages. Keep at it mate, the times will get better.
Paul still leads the championship at this point but the drop score is going to even things out later in the season.
