Worldwide touring car championships

Long time no speak, great to see some familiar faces around! So for various reasons I am now almost clueless about what's going on in the touring car world. So I thought, for my interest and maybe for others it would be nice to list all the touring car championships in the whole world perhaps with a bit of information on the lesser known championships? information on those that no longer exist would be nice too :)

So I'll start with the ones I know definitely still exist and the ones on the forum already.

BTCC - British Touring Car Championship
WTCC - World Touring Car Championship
DTM - Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft
STCC- Swedish Touring Car Championship

BTCS - Belgian Touring car

thats the name used from 1984 to 1996, the series was reborn in 2000 as Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters

Ah I had no idea! I just assumed the M stood for Meisterschaft :)
