Argentine racecar company Baratec (Barattero brothers) and the Automóvil Club Argentino are launching a Super 2000-based rally class with shared mechalical parts and silhouette bodies. The VW Gol NF (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Volkswagen_Gol_Mk5) has been unveiled and the Fiat Punto is being developed. The Ford Fiesta, Chevrolet Agile y Fiat Palio are also thought to be added. The goal is to involve "local" brands (those plus the French) in rallying in Argentina and Brazil with cheap, locally-produced cars with bodies of best-selling cars (the Lancer and Impreza are barely sold there).
