Turkington inside the top 10, I guess it is his first time at Portimao, so a good qualifying performance. Nice to see Harry Vaulkhard doing well.

Turkington 1.5 seconds per lap faster than Stefano D'Aste in the same machinery, now that really says a lot...

Ive alwyas been a critic of the WTCC but today proved that if you put the cars on a proper circuit then you will get great racing. Loads of close racing and when things seemed to quieten down an incident or pass would set it all off again.

Gutted for Turkington that people had to punt him off in both races. Barths move on him was very crude and stupid while we didnt get a very good view of the second race incident, after which he came back brilliantly to take 2nd in the indies!

brillaint performance from Priaulx in race 2 coming from something like 21st on the grid up to 5th and a ahead of Farfus who started waaay infront of him :D

Absolutely over the moon with Turkington's result in race two - a brilliant drive considering he was plum last on the opening lap. Hopefully sponsors will be lapping up his excellent drives and he gets right in the thick of things at Brands Hatch.

Did he have a target on his car? Getting hit in both races, with the first hit being particularly amateur.
He acquitted himself well, and drove well - he can only get better with more seat time.

Anybody else see the empty stands?? Apart from the main pit grandstand.....

Thats quite common for Portimao unfortunately, I havnt seen a decent crowd at any race there yet. Such a shame as its by far one of the best modern tracks around.
