Good to see Ellison back up there after his injury and out qualifying Easton.

it also seems that HM plant have got the fireblade handling very sweetly on the twisty circuits with their riders again in the top 2.

The biggest casualty of qualifying was Michael Laverty who crashed out of the opening qualifying session. The Relentless Suzuki rider was on the pace all weekend but got pushed off line going into the first turn by another rider leaving the pit lane

Good to see Ellison back up there after his injury and out qualifying Easton.

it also seems that HM plant have got the fireblade handling very sweetly on the twisty circuits with their riders again in the top 2.

Brookes suffered an engine failure in Saturday morning’s free practice but with a fresh engine in place for qualifying he clocked a 48.486s lap to beat team-mate Ryuichi Kiyonari to pole position by 0.15s.

The opening race for the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Knockhill was red flagged following a heavy downpour on the second lap.
Race restarted and red flagged again after Dan Linfoot's crash at Leslie's. Chris Walker went wide to avoid Linfoot and crashed himself when he returned to the circuit both riders are ok but the track was very muddy where walker's bike came back on.The lap is very quick and the track workers didn't have time between laps to clean the track safely.

The second MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship race of the day at Knockhill was forced to be abandoned this afternoon due to the weather conditions, including high gusts of winds. The second BSB race got underway but was red flagged when Simon Andrews crashed his MSS Colchester Kawasaki at SEAT Curve and David Johnson, Aaron Zanotti, Andrew Pitt, Gary Johnson and Chris Walker all ended up in the gravel. The race was due to be restarted but as the weather conditions continued to deteriorate in the interest of safety it was forced to be cancelled, the race will now take place at Snetterton on Saturday with the grid positions remaining as the second Knockhill race.

Yeah agreed, Themo is Theman!

BSB can be some of the best racing going round, unfortunately weather stopped that at Knockers.

From an Aussie point of view it is great to see Brookesy leading the Championship.

I read somewhere that Andrew Pitt may get a Moto2 gig. I hope he stays put in BSB.

Themo, do you get to many rounds of BSB?

Cancellation of the second race was a shame for Rutter :( He was unmatched in those conditions, whereas the replacement race on the Saturday at Snetterton won't favour his Ducati.

He's one of the top riders in this neck of the woods. Currently the Australian Superbike points leader.

Australian Bryan Staring is to make a one-off appearance on injured Steve Plater’s HM Plant Honda superstock bike in the next round at Snetterton on July 18.

Bryan is a gun. He did some WSS about 3 years back with no success. Last year he won the Aust SS600 Championship and as Rod says he currently leads the Aust SB Championship.

I gotta say I have high hopes for a result.
