is race on playable on this laptop?

Maybe not at full detail but that lap top is about half way between minimum and full requirements :)

hmm, interesting. you see, normally, I'm more of a console gamer, so i'm not primary getting a laptop for gaming, but I've heard good things about the race series on pc, and I saw that laptop, thinking it may be able to do it

I think that Laptop should be able to play it on full graphics easy. The processor is not so good, but the RAM is good, and so is the video RAM. Pretty sure you'll be able to play Race ON with everything maxed out.

On a side note, if you're buying a laptop, better to go with a Core i5, Core i3 or a Core 2 Duo processor, and a 1 GB graphic card. Should be good to play all new games for at least the next 2 years or so.
