How much money do btcc drivers earn?

forgive me for sounding naive, but how much money do drivers earn each race weekend? I'm particualy interested in the independnts as well?

the indy drivers dont earn anything apart from sponsorship which Indy drivers use to pay for there drives and running the cars unlike works driver who get paid...how much works drivers get i dont know but it depends on the team

Well I dont think many in the BTCC drivers get paid.
When James Thompson came into Touring Cars ,with the Vauxhall team after one season with his own Blue Peugeot 405,it was rumored that his father David paid Vauxhall,through Mike Nicholson,£300K,for a 3 year contract,he then was paid £100K for the next 3 years .
