Enjoy these stages, so I'm looking forward to this one. Should perform perhaps a touch better in the Focus...

I had planned on entering for this round but my disk appears to be broken so I won't be able to.

Let me guess: you are on PS?
That's what I like about PC games, just install a NOCD-crack and never bother about the disk again :D

Right i've been playing CMR2 alot recently and would like to enter different events throughout the year. I will be using this Ford Focus RS WRC03 for all round I compete in, and i'm starting in Mexico!

So what do I do to submit my times?

No, I'm using a PC version. But, while clearing up files on my computer I un-installed CMR2. Now, the disk won't let me install the game and installation process crashes after 32%. Is there any way to get around this Marcel (besides looking for a new game etc)?

Right i've got the time card so what do I do about submitting the times then? Do I upload them to the CMR2 website, as I think that's what we used to have to do back in 2004! :s

Marcel Haenen

That was indeed the method of submitting back then.
Nowadays you have to e-mail your timesheet to Javier (jso1985, starter of this thread).

Only did 2 runs of Shakedown

1st Run - 2:23.75 had a spin and was generaly driving rubbish
2nd Run - 2:15.59 No problems except abit too fast into some corners which led to sliding wide on the exit.

Right my Leg 1 Report

Shakedown went ok, just getting abit of practice in Kenya again.

SS1 - Had a spin halfway through the stage which cost me sometime, just came into the corner too quick.
SS2 - No problems through here was a good stage.
SS3 - Very short so needed to stay smooth which I did but could've pushed abit harder.
SS4 - No problems again went well
SS5 - Rained through the whole stage, but had no prolems thorugh it went well and enjoyed it.
SS6 - Nailed Stage 6 was flying and kept it flat on the tarmac sections, favourtie stage of the rally.
SS7 - Worst stage of the rally, had a spin at high speed into a tree which damaged the gearbox then right at the flying finish I rolled after arriving too quickly and hitting an advertising board
SS8 - No problems
SS9 - Again no problems
SS10 - Never done this stage before and wasn't very confident in the dark, and had a complete 180 spin.
SS11 - Really went for it and kept it tidy (much to the dismay of the spectators) but set a Stage Record for me through there, really enjoyed it.
Now onto Leg 2!

Leg 2 completed and will submit results next Monday.

Leg 2 Report
Well nothing major happened really, beat my PB on all stages except SS20, and found SS18 really difficult just couldn't get into a rhythm but made it through with no problems. SS20 wasn't as quick as the first time through on SS11 was abit more ragged than before but still set a time less than half a second slower than the time through S11.

Here's a pic of me from SS17 setting it up for a hairpin right

This is an event were I made the worse results last year. These stages are not my favourite ones. But ok, we will push as hard as it is possible. Already on the recce I made PB on almost all the stages (except one I think), so some improvement will be made compared to last year. I don't expect to fight for a victory here though. Podium is the only goal.

Rat has finished the Mexican rally:
Day 1:
We had a great time getting to know the new Focus setting some good times today. Lost a bit of time with a wild spin on stage 6. Stage 8 had us spinning again into the trees. Stage 10, well, we rolled into the bush, no damage.
Day 2:
very fast on stage 2. Into the rocks on stage 5. Spun 3 times in the one stage!
We finished the Rally almost scar free! Fast and alot of fun. Let's see if we have some points yet...

cheers!

Jso1985 has finished day 1:
Quite a dissapointing run, never had a major mistake but we had small mistakes on every stage wich costed us at least 1 sec every stage, plus is frustrating to be off the pace of the practice runs, but the last 2 muddy stages went great, broke both PB's so we're confident we canm push harder tomorrow(today)

Marcel Haenen has finished rally Mexico

The rally went pretty well, we set some PB's during the rally but also made some mistakes costing us time. We are getting more and more used to the Subaru and are surprised by its pace. We hope to beat GrP here so we still hava a small chance on winning the title again this year.

jso1985 has finished day 2:
we pushed harder as promised yet we still feel he could have done it better, no mayor incidents during the stages although we almost fell off the bridge in SS5, that was a good scary moment.

kenya is tricky, cossie. You'll run a stage and think you've done well, only to be rewarded with an average time.

The line is really important, and too much understeer will rob you of seconds.

Wail on it a bit and I'm certain you'll improve your times before it appears on our schedule again
