Looks like the vuvuzela masses have put BTCC on a temporary July hiatus.

The season will have a summer break of seven weeks between June and August to avoid a clash with the World Cup, British GP and the Tour de France.

If you'll have withdrawal, I've been watching past years' races at this site: http://www.racefanstv.com/channels/touring-car/btcc/

I managed when there was a similar length break last year.

If anything it was quite refreshing! Summer is already pretty busy as it is.

Personally, I think the lengthy summer break is one of the reasons for the alleged decline of the BTCC in recent years. When it was in what generally seems to be viewed as its heyday in the 1990s, the BTCC was a feature of virtually every second or third weekend from April to late September or early October. Yes, it had perhaps a more prominent degree of TV coverage then, but I still think the point holds true. It would be more expensive, I grant, but I think a better option would be to revert to two races per meeting and 15 meetings rather than 10.
