Great recovery by Chilton to take pole after crashing into the tyres at one point, though the other drivers are still bitching about the Fords top speed advantage!

MacDowall did well again, im really impressed with the lad this season!

Good to see Collard up there in qualy with the BMWs having not looked so good over a single lap this year.

Hollamby had his times disallowed for a failed ride height check, not sure what happened to Wood.

Very good race. Gordon Shedden and Rob Collard providing a very close finish with Shedden just fending off Collard in the dash to the finish line. Nice midfield action too, good to see Paul o'Neill getting a top five finish again after a poor time at Oulton Park.
I wonder what Tom Chilton's problems were?
I also wonder why the Motorbase drivers have not been able to get as much out of their BMWs as Rob Collard has.
Congratulations to Daniel Lloyd for scoring points on his BTCC debut.

Gordon Shedden takes two wins out of two. Matt Neal did a good move to get passed Jason Plato at Sunny. I'm not so sure that Paul o'Neill will be allowed to keep fourth place, he seemed to cut part of the Hairpin to get passed Tom Onslow-Cole, I wouldn't be surprised if the stewards reversed their positions.
Good recovery drive by Rob Collard to come through from 21st to 8th, he really was the innocent party as Neal and o'Neill clashed tipping him into a spin.
And if anyone needs any spare parts for their Chevrolet Cruze I'm sure you'll find something at Croft as I think half of Alex MacDowall's car is currently littering the circuit.
Andrew Jordan on pole for race three.

I agree. From the still photos, it looked a racing incident, but the on-board footage left no doubt at all.

Good action so far at Croft, though. The race two scrap between Onslow-Cole and O'Neill was enthralling.

that whole clash between O'neill, Neal and Collard, is it just me that thinks that Paul maybe didnt see Matt there because it looked as if Paul O'neill moved to the inside more once Collard went out wide

I don't reckon anyone was to blame there. Just one of those things. Whether Collard would see it like that I don't know...

Yea was a racing incident in my eyes. So unlucky for Rob after a great drive in the first race!

Great racing so far, really enjoying it though I do seem to be wasting a very nice, sunny day watching motorsport again!

True, but didn't seem to stop Jordan Jnr doing something very similar to Mat Jackson here at Croft

Great drive from Jordan but Kane imo doesnt deserve that 3rd bit of a desperate move using Boardman as a brake and while he was locked up aswell, imo not on.

I'd say Boardman got what he deserved tbh for backing Paul O'Neill into Chilton and Kane...

BDunnell
20th June 2010, 18:02
Boardman certainly didn't deserve to lose places like that, having defended so resolutely. O'Neill's move on the last corner of the last lap, going over the inside of the hairpin having been nudged there by Jackson, looked rather marginal even if it was unavoidable after the push from the BMW.

Very good for the title race that both Jason Plato and Matt Neal suffered problems in the final race, it gives everyone a chance to keep them within reach with half the season gone.

Stephen Tyldsely (HHC) and Jon Barnes (Barwell Motorsport) had a small coming together on the way into Sunny and both ended up hard into the barriers. Jon Barnes' car caught fire at the back briefly but both drivers were OK I believe.

Brilliant racing from the BTCC at Croft. Some rough nudges but nothing out of touring car's ball court in my opinion. Kane might have muscled his way to that podium spot but I was delighted (as a Kane fan), especially considering he started 19th!

Steady run from Jordon and well done to Shedden for his 2 previous victories. A lot of car damage at this meeting (McDowell, Shedden and other more minor troubles). Also have to hand it to Tom Boardman for great defensive driving all day. Likewise to Onslow-Cole and finally, thumbs up to Daniel Lloyd for a strong debut

Best meeting so far this year in terms of action.
