I guess I'm the only one's left supporting Milestone around here.
Even If the game Isn't our dreams game...
even If It's not going to be a new RBR...
even If It has some flaws or lacks...
I strongly believe supporting this effort, Is the only way rally gaming returns to the market,
maybe with a greater title In 2011 or 2012.
But first a start must be made;maybe not an Ideal one, but a start!
Unfortunately, this Isn't the kind of situation, I was expecting for the pre-release season
of the new wrc game and certainly not that kind of attitude from the rally community! So sad! :(
Codemasters were brutally attacked too, before and after DiRT2 release,
but hey, that wasn't even close to a rally game...
Can't really see the reason posting anyhting positive around here anymore...
The game Is doomed already. :(

It doesn't look like its going to be great, but I'm still going to buy it as its a WRC game, and it may be better than expected. It should be fun, and the graphics look OK so I'm sure it will be worth the money.

The problem with the WRC is that nobody dares speak or ask controversially, so of course the WRC-drivers that have tested the game must say they like it.

Most rally fans would still moan if someone re-released RBR with modern graphics but gave it a different name, people will never be happy.

LCD your right about all the negative feedback here, much of it from me. However for me it stems from a decade of disappointment in the rally game genre and it was just amplified by how Milestone touted this game. It went something like this. About a year ago it was announced that a new full licensed WRC game would be coming out on PS3, X-Box and PC! Most realistic rally game ever (or something to that effect) based on real stages that we can race as the real drivers are tackling the rally (simultaneously, this was even posted on wrc.com!), unprecedented like nothing we've seen before. Beginning of the year details emerged and though not officially stated, you could read through the lines that the game would not have real stages but that the game would be based on the real rallies (fair enough).
Then the press release had quotes like this:
"..all the elements that make up the different landscapes of the 13 rallies in order to create highly realistic game backgrounds.."
"...Such an impressive aesthetic reproduction of the landscapes has been followed by a detailed analysis of the physics.."
"..every race course is very realistic not just from the aesthetic aspect point of view but also from the way the driving itself feels."
It all sounded so promising and got most of us excited because it may finally be the game we've waited for. Well we all know what I think of it thus far. It's just been another disappointment to add to the pile of other disappointing rally games. No I haven't played it but it is irrelevant because even if the game had RBR physics (which it clearly doesn't, and people who's opinion I trust have stated it does not) it would not matter.
Anyway, this is the last you'll hear from me on the game (on this thread anyway) and even with my bitter disappointment I'm still holding out hope for 2011, though it will need to be a complete overhaul which I don't think they have time for. Nevertheless, where there's a will, there's a way.

Is the damage modelling goingto be as poor as ever with any FIA endorsed game? I understand that manufacturers need to to display their products in the best possible light, but if the damage modelling is anywhere near the lague of previous WRC games (the damage modelling in CMR3 is quite good IMO) we are in for a huge disappointment

hmmm, not so Spain like. I must have to say that once more except the gravel path,no tight corners at all and such a high speed blast. Also no any kind of hills so going up or down tightly. At first I didn´t kept it as bad but now when you see video after video the same style left, right, left, right roads just with different landscapes what are just country like but not WRC area country likes,it starts to make me a bit... you know confused.. specially as we have seen how them have had all the footage and onboards to make the roads right.
Also what I´ve seen the videos, Im a bit confused for the results... It looks like them only has some kind of random creator what draws the names completely different after each stage. Example on WRC cars, I have hardly seen Loeb or P.Solberg ever to win a stage. Even Hirvonen,Latvala,Ogier are just at somewhere but then there are guys like H.Solberg,Villagra and M.Wilson quite high on results. It just isn´t right. Also in S2000 videos guys like Sousa and Llovera seems to do pretty high ranked runs.
Still it looks nice and gameplay seems to be decent so I would be getting it if it stays like that. Otherwise will wait GT5 or pick up F12010.

How have you made that into an issue? Seriously, so many people are deseperate for this game to fail that it doesn't stand a chance. Instead of worrying about how it handles you are complaining that the AI puts the odd crap driver a bit higher than they should be, that really isn't a particulaly big problem in the way of enjoying the game.

I think people also have to bear in mind one thing: this game needs to sell. We need a new McRae-esque game (a mixture of realism but also playability) as its clear Codemasters won't do it with DIRT and their love of Ken Block.
RBR for all it's "realism" was pretty much a commercial failure, the studio folded and the guys went elsewhere. It's the same for many other games studios - making something work for both fans and casual gamers is hard and I would so doubly so for a niche sport like rallying. This isn't FIFA or NBA etc that gets big exposure Sure the modders loved RBR and have given it extra life but among a tiny, tiny % of the total gaming population.
I hope this sells a lot and gets people excited by rally game then Milestone can create an even better game as a follow up.

Particly yes, it still doesn´t stop me at enjoying the game and so far I´ve been supporting this game more than many have and been enjoyed what I´ve seen except for some small things. Also in online play or offline championships, its not a problem at all and yes doesn´t make the game bad.
...but yes, what comes to this... I enjoy to the game a bit more when the standings are closer of beeing right. If the "worser" drivers are there sometimes, I don´t mind for that. Its part of reality even on real rallying but on championship mode, I really want to fight for the title with Loeb,Hirvonen,P.Solberg when I´m driving and not seeing Villagra or Wilson to top rallyes when guys I mentioned are somewhere far away. I understand it at some rallyes like Turkey and Jordan example but not in the events like Rally Finland at sunny weather or Sweden like we have seen.
Its a bit the same as in F1 game what would be superb otherwise. I´m sure that the critics would be huge if Alguersuari and Glock would be fighting for the wins and Hamilton,Button and Red Bull´s example would be fighting to places like 10-20.
Still I also admit that I can be mistaken too with the results in final build. I´m just a bit concerned as there are in my mind too many videos where them are messed up. In the end its an early version and yes, there are also videos where you also see results where them are as them should be!

I hope Milestone will read it here because i am not alloud to post this on the milestone blog!
Here some tips and a video for the WRC 2011 season,
Its from the game WRC evolved and it shows u some important things,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bKjJGpUC3Q
Here we go, First off all the Mitsubishi lancer WRC05 , because every one wants to drive in it!! xD
second : the menu, it shows u the stage how it will be and that’s very important i think,
And 3rd now one of the IMPORTENT Things! u start at the Time control! and not at the start! u see the car driving to the start! small detail but VERY IMPORTENT! U see the Co-driver watching the time, and u see the public / marshals who work at the Rally to make it a good event!
4th at the start u don’t see a Huge start light in the middle of your screen, but on the box right and left of u , u got the same that in real, ( or a marshal that counts down on his hands )
5th the whistle sound from the Marshal when u are entering the public!
6th ALSO a very IMPORTENT detail at 2:50 , U see that the car from Loeb crashed/ retired,... because he start in front of u, u see that the car is also there!
7th, what should be add on (what is not in the movie), that u see at the start the car in front of u , and if u are really 2 minutes faster that u have to pass the 2 rally cars that started in front of you.
I hope that u guys can use this very important information!
Btw I guess why I know why the pace notes are not that detailed… Italian pro rally drivers don’t need the pace notes look at Gigi! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fajc9y7jm3Q

yup,its not a bad video. Its also very nice to see how in the game the hands are pretty much on the same level when you turn as in your own wheel. It kinda brings a nice feeling for driving.
What comes to stages, them are pretty much country like but not like on the rallyes. I expected a bit more as I´ve said before on this but I guess it is what we just have to take. Maybe on next years edition, even its been fixed.
Still the game looks promising. I just hope to see a demo out soon because like at everyone of us who are considering of buying it, it just would make the decision a bit easier.

You must have been to a stage like Halway where the roads open out onto Epynt.
Either way I don't really care. From what I saw of the British stage it looks quite tricky, and when you do get into the forest it is nice and narrow. At the end of the day I don't mind if the stages aren't spot on realistic, as long as the game is actually enjoyable to play.

They probably know all about it, they just realise that the majority of people will just want the game to load and let them get on with it. There was a CMR game (think it was CMR3) that had the driving up to startline thing and so did DiRT2, in both it got very tired, very quickly.
You seem to be constantly forgetting that this game is intended to make money, they want to make it attractive to as many people as possible. The majority of people that play this game won't want to wait while the car gets to the startline, and Milestone aren't making this game just for you.

Fist impressions of this game are extremely disappointing, the physics are pretty poor(Jumping the car with a slight steering angle causes huge crashes and powerslides are extremely difficult to catch) , the controls are bad ( the car reacts like it's underwater) and the pacenotes are useless. The stages are far too wide and cutting across the grass on the Finnish stage I played was akin to driving over the gravel runoff area in a F1 car. And to top it all off it's unrealistic; Matthew Wilson finished third on that stage! :P
MrJan
18th September 2010, 02:13
I quite enjoyed it really, as with any game it takes a bit to change your style to suit the physics. It's not RBR but it's more tricky than DiRT so pretty much what I was expecting. I really like the Jordan stage, a solid four and a half minutes with all the other stages being longer.
I think that the pacenotes are alright in the sense that they're largely consistent with each other. A hairpin isn't a proper hairpin as we know it but after a while you know what to expect. One thing that does annoy me is that it doesn't say "care" or "caution" like you'd expect, instead the co-driver yells "be careful!!". At first I took that to be because I'd scraped a bank and I still haven't got used to it.
Sound is the main let down IMO, the cars sound a bit poor and the co-driver can be annoying. I don't mind him reading the notes, it's the other stuff that annoys me. At some point rally games started to introduce "witty" comments that are nearly always ****. At the beginning of a stage I don't need someone saying "out of the way, champion coming through", it doesn't add to the game in any way. I also hate how loud the bloke screams whenever you hit something, even if you just tag something as you're turning the car after a spin.
One thing I will say is that the wheel opens it up to being a lot more difficult to get the hang of but (and this applies to using the controller too) using a manual box is much, much better than auto. For some reason it likes to hold onto lower gears and you end up spinning under the power, having control over that is vital IMO.
Oh and as for Macd complaining about how you have to have the wheels straight when landing :p :

It also does it on Richard Burns Rally, which is apparently the yard stick for everyone.

It depends on where you set your expectations. I knew that this wasn't going to be everything that people on here wanted, but then I didn't want the same things. It's not an immersive sim, nor was it ever going to be, but it's a nice way to spend a few minutes.
The Jordan stage is really good IMO,nice design with some really tricky parts. You get slowed down when you go off track slightly (not as much as with Forza) which helps to keep the stages feeling fairly narrow.
I think that the problem is that many users on here are after a game that wasn't going to happen. Reading some of the things that people wanted to see just shows that there are a lot of members living in cloud cuckoo land. The same feeling comes from the Milestone blog where a lot of contributions were overly angry and generally a bit stupid. As the first rally game from the studio I think that this is a great starting place.
Remember that Codies are a much, much bigger outfit with an age of experience and they really missed the mark with DiRT2
lcd

I'm looking forward to the game too, not In a sim way, If you know what I mean. ;)
Haven't played the demo yet (pc demo Is out on Friday 24th) but from what seen and read so far,
I think It will be a very decent game, a great start for newcomers Milestone and a hope for the
future of the WRC series In the gaming buisinness. As long as the handling Is more challenging than DiRT2,
I'll be a very happy man! Besides, I enjoy more, playing an 100% rally game than compromising
with a bunch of other forms of motorsports, I don't like at all! ;)
btw, I totally agree with Mr Jan Yeo.

There still seems to be no Demo ( 360 ) for NA, Gold or otherwise . Does anyone have any update or info on this ? Thanks in advance.
I am looking forward to give it a whirl. Vid's of demo do not seem so bad but afterall it is a demo and although it may not be the complete Rally game we all want it is at least Rally and hopefully will lead to more in the future.

Not sure about being stateside but I know that I couldn't find the demo on marketplace and ended up going to the microsoft site on my PC. Then it's just a case of putting in your gamertag and password and selecting to download it. THe next time you turn on your 360 it'll start downloading.

WRC2010 pc demo on megaupload:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CGZHDKN6
Here's my review:
The real feeling of playing the demo, has nothing to do with those videos
seen the past months! I can hardly control my enthousiasm!!!! http://blog.milestone.it/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif
First of all, gongrats to the physics department! Great job guys!
Very close to sim and RBR-nothing to do with arcadish DiRT2!
Graphically, looks awesome-not perfect but the enviroments look so natural
and the surface keeps changing all the time! I love this!
Car models are shinny and very detailed, so Is the damage model. Even the hairpins, everybody
was complaining are very difficult when at high speeds! They may looked easy on those preview videos,
but they are very challenging when playing the game! I even liked the sounds-maybe the exhaust sounds
could have been a little louder and more rough, but all the sound effect are clearly heard, especially after serious damages!!!
The replay angles are brilliand and the overall presentation/frontend Is very professional!
In a few words, this game feels and smells 100% rally!
Welldone Milestone-It Is a great game made with passion and respect to the rally community!
Please bring October 8th tomorrow!!!
Cheers to all-Hope you enjoy the return of the wrc series as mush as I do!!!
edit: don't know If the link works fine for all of you-It was, some time ago...

i must say, well done Black Bean and Milestone on this WRC 2010 game.
pros:
- very beautiful and realistic cars, the best i have seen so far.
- nice environment
- beautiful body damage model, very real
- realistic crashes
- outstanding mechanical damage model, love the gear problems
- a big plus to the co-driver, i like this a lot, the best ever
- car handling somewhere between RBR and CMR2 :D
- let's you remind a little bit of the 'legendary' CMR2 game
- very good and fast menu, also the loading times are very short not like those in DiRT2, they took forever.
- replays look good
- attention to detail is high so it really looks like the real wrc
- love the handbrake and the sideways sliding
- handling of the cars is not easy especially on the Jordan track but then again it is more realistic i think.
cons
- mmmm gotta wait until October 8 to enjoy the game fully
- my fingers are hurting because i am used to DiRT2 and i have to brake a lot more in this game and the steering is a lot more difficult :D
- could not create a new livery already :D because it is protected
- although it is a very nice game i miss the 'wow' factor i had when i played the DiRT2 demo for the first time
26th September 2010, 00:15
- although it is a very nice game i miss the 'wow' factor i had when i played the DiRT2 demo for the first time
i just found the 'wow' factor, although i never used it in any other race game because i just did not like it and could not race with it, this game surprised me. The cockpit (second one) and bonnet camera are awesome, this gives a totally different feeling and also the cars looks like it better handles when using these camera views, i am exited :s mokin: , gotta get back racing, see ya...

I have tried the demo out and the game looks very promising but there are few issues that spoil the fun. They are more related to my steering wheel (Logitech Driving Force GT) and getting it properly setup:
I can't find a way to adjust steering wheel force feedback ingame and steering ratio for the cars in the car setup page (I currently have to adjust them out of game).
I also can't find a way to register the pedals on separate axis and I'm forced to use combined axis instead which means I can't properly left foot brake.

I played the demo and it worked fine for me!
a few buggs like this:
http://i890.photobucket.com/albums/ac102/Rallylegend/WRC%20Game/buggwrc.jpg
but its okej ,... guess they are working on it!
pros
- I like th physics,
- the game works on a out of date comp . ( Dirt played really laggy at this PC,... and WRC played fine here! ( cant wait to test the WRC game on the ps3)
- Nice damage ! ( except one thing see con)
1 very big pro! waht luke already said,: they already can mod this game:
"It looks like we will be able to create the ultimate simulator when the
full game comes out next month. I was part of the team that used to
create modifications for Richard Burns Rally, and I have now managed to
add new skins to WRC 2010 The Game (Petter Solberg C4 2009), im sure we
can update physics, tracks etc... The future is bright!!!"
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/...id=5924644 40
Cons
-if u are like 2 meter away from the stage then u already get flashed back... its kinda annoying.
- i tried to crash all the car! many things went off,.. except a few things , like the tires... very strange the exaust... ,...
but well we cant except a full damage!
- I did NOT like the setup menu,.. i think the menu should look like CMR 2005 or something so u can see what u are changing and what kind of effect it has on the car, u could chose some "basic" setups and change them if u want.. but still its not fine to me

Cool thats got the game working for me :)
From the demo I think the game is as I expect really which is pretty easy to get into and deffo appealing to a wide range of people.
The only things I dont like are the car sounds which are some of the worst ive head in ages and the co-driver shouting at splits and after crashes.
Still might buy it or hint to the family that id like it for xmas!

he must have driven very fast, if i drive fast a cannot steer the car into the corner anymore even if i slow down well before the corner, sometime i drive only 40-50 kmph and still the car will not steer into the corner, i find this very annoying about this game already, in DiRT 2 the car does what you want, you can make perfect slides and Scandinavian flicks. Also in the Finland rally i do not have these problems, it looks like i have the wrong tires under my car when driving the Jordan stage  . Gonna race some DiRT 2 stages now and feel the rush again when racing with high speed along those stone walls in Croatia, sliding on those hairpins and hear that engine roaring, this is what i miss the most in the wrc game, a good car sound and a good surface sound. I hope i can configure my steering in the full version of the wrc game.

Well, downloaded it when I got home from work for the ps3, i guess it's ok, few observations:
1. The graphics seem quite poor to me, Dirt 2 knocks spots off it.
2. The co-driver, wish he'd just shut up at times! move over champion coming through, when have you ever heard that on a real rally?
3. I can change all the controls bar left and right, which I can only use analogue sticks for. The right directional button works for right, however the left doesnt for left, tried two different controllers?
I guess it's a good first attempt but im afraid that it's no dirt 2 and with dirt 3 and gt5 coming im afraid this will be a long way don the pecking order.....

I really liked about the PS3 version demo. Its really like what has been said about beeing a something like from the middle of sim and arcade. Also yes,you can really feel when changing something on the car and I was very surprised to see that actually Ford and Citroen as cars are way different.
Where Ford is stable and don´t go so much in sideways, its lacking of power but then Citroen is quite a bit of a faster car but a bit harder to control. Atleast it is this on me.
Also I find wheel as a bit faster. With wheel you can more consistantly keep the car on quicker cornering speeds and somehow the car seems to turn a bit better. With pad, if you don´t keep the speed up the car will push, just like the real rally car does when the speed is too low.
I´m really getting this game now and I´m sure that will like it very much. As has been said, its not RBR or even not CMR: dirt2. The worrying thing still is that I´m sure that many people, specially the gamers who play racing games at sometimes like my father, will find this as too hard to handle. For motorsport gamers,it won´t be any kind of problem. It takes a while to get used to the game but as LCD has been saying, after a while when you get used to it, the game will kinda give you an "ahaa" experience and after that you are hooked.

1. The graphics seem quite poor to me, Dirt 2 knocks spots off it.
-Actually I find the graphics as okey and not too poor. As from the screenies, the cars are quite detailed. In the end if the game runs well,I dont care so much for graphics. As has been said the old rally games are all still at the spotlight and people dont complain for graphics.
2. The co-driver, wish he'd just shut up at times! move over champion coming through, when have you ever heard that on a real rally?
-Yeah,I think everyone agrees with this. Maybe them were watching something what has been done at earlier WRC games and finded it as a good idea, even when it isn´t. With Loeb it somehow works, with Mikko example, nope :D
3. I can change all the controls bar left and right, which I can only use analogue sticks for. The right directional button works for right, however the left doesnt for left, tried two different controllers?
- I reported about this also in Milestone blog. I tried with many pads too and have the same issue. When driving with pad,Ive always been using the legendary stuff. With pad I have always finded analogue sticks as undriveable but somehow with WRC after a few go´s, I was able to drive pretty well. It actually surprised me a lot.

Played the demo for about 30 min and can easily say that it's a lot better than described by most people. Yes it's not RBR but it's much better than Dirt2 except for the sound. How many of you guys has tried out the PC demo and the console demo? I was doing the test today and I somehow find PC as a bit quicker by times. I don´t know is it my skills or the wheel but on PC I post quicker times by seconds.
Anyway for those who are struggling with finding driveable setup. I just want to help a bit and hopefully them works on you too. Of course would be nice to try out the setups of other ones too. With this setup Ive managed to do 4.11 at PC(wheel) but on PS3 just 4.18 (with pad) .
But yeah the game is very nice and hopefully we will have some nice comps on the forum too when its released.
Anyway here is my setup. Its made to get the car to turn at pad+ used with Ford (works on both PS3 and PC) . Jordan Rally . At wheel, some may find it as too quick on turnings as wheel is much more sensitive than controller.
BRAKE BALANCE: 1 step to - from middle
DOWNFORCE: 1 step to - from middle (if you put the downforce to almost for max,car is really easy to drive but your times will be slower)
GEARS: one step to + from middle(works especially with Ford, with Citroen a step quicker box might be better.)
CAR HEIGHT: middle (in Jordan at a few steps lower car is better at Citroen. If you put car higher its more stable but not as fast)
SUSPENSION: half or 1 step to softer . With more softer cant see any difference.
TRACTION CONTROL: 2- from middle . (effects a lot to car handling,if you increase traction control your car dont turn at all in pad)
FRONT. DIFF: middle REAR DIFF: middle ( without leveling them, the car seems to be more spinfree and also turning issues are there)
CENTRE: at where it is.
Would really like to try out what others have done :)

From my experience on racing games, always on the pc version, you can achieve better times, than xbox...
Can't speak about ps3, since I don't have one! ;) Not huge differences, but quite better times!
Regarding the set ups, haven't started messing with them yet, but I'm glad they stongly affect car's performance!

You can see my ones when you go up and them are made on PS3. I today managed to take 4 seconds of my time at PS3 so Im now at 4.14 with pad. I know that with wheel what Ive been reading 5 second improvements are even small so may try later where I will end with that. It also now been confirmed that PC version is quicker in hands of many players so its pointless to compare for those. THE 4.14 time of me, is done at PS3 and Jordan. The biggest thing so far on changing the car for me has been taking of traction balance and putting it more to - direction and also leveling the front.diff and rear diff. to middle.
The only things I did to setups were that I added a bit more downforce now than before and shortened the gearbox and putted a step softer suspension. It may feel a bit unstable but after a while,it feels pretty good. Also tips on making times seems to be to stay at the racing line and play with throttle. Of course a stage knowledge helps too.
I can also give a Finland setup if someone wants that. With it Im beating the CPU with Loeb by around 5 secs each time I drive in Finland with expert.

By the way how many has noticed when watching the car values that there are some interesting noticements?? by checking them it looks like the Citroen factory team is the best followed by in order: Ford Factory Team,Citroen Junior Team,Stobart Ford+Grönholm and Petter Solberg´s C4 are equal, then comes Östberg´s Subaru and at last are, Villagra´s Ford and Block´s Ford .
I find it at pretty interesting that Petter´s C4 is example not as good as Citroen Junior Team cars or that Villagra´s and Block´s Ford´s are even slower than Stobart Ford´s.
BTW as asked here is my Finland setup too:
BRAKE BALANCE: 2 step to - from middle
DOWNFORCE: 3 step to - from middle (one or 2 steps of downforce, slows the car already)
GEARS: middle ( I dont know why but if you try to gain more speed, then accelerating takes forever and therefore slow times)
CAR HEIGHT: 2 step to - from middle (also 1+ goes okey)
SUSPENSION: middle (if its harder, the big jump causes big trouble)
TRACTION BALANCE: 2 step to - from middle
FRONT. DIFF: middle REAR DIFF: middle ( still find leveling them as the best)
CENTRE: at where it is so none.

Bought it today as I said as it has came out here in Finland already. Don´t know to other countries but I kinda like about the game. Selected expert and while was trying out at the J-WRC the level there seems to be quite high.
The first feeling with the different classes I have been trying out is that actually them should have selected J-WRC or P-WRC to the demo to get a better impression about the game. I really enjoy so far of what I have been playing and the feeling of the car is very driveable and them handles well. The stages are still wide but after trying multiple stages, I quite enjoy the game. Okey for tarmac I have to get a bit of minus points because the grip level there is actually quite the same as in gravel. Also as in videos has been said there are different stages but them actually uses bits from same stages just with different routes. If it doesn´t bother you, I´m pretty sure that you will enjoy for gameplay, specially with lower class cars. Also at wet grip,no difference compared to driving at sunny weather. The best stages so far I´ve been driven are actually from Wales Rally GB.. Very challenging, very detailed and excellent fun to drive. Also I can confirm that frame rate isn´t the best. Specially at Japan and France you notice it as sometimes the road ahead is blurry. If some is still interested for controls, them are a bit of mix like what we have seen at Dirt1 and at old CMR games. I´m sure that someone else gets flashbacks too that, hey I have driven this kinda before.
Started anyway the "road to the WRC" . The first challenge is the Citroen C4 one at Portugal as seen at video. After that your co-driver gives a message and asks you to drive with "him" . At first you enter your name, country and team name and after that your co-driver name, country of co-driver,rally plate(what will be at your car at registration plate place), and is your co-driver he or she. Then you buy the first car (Fiesta R2 or Citroen C2 R2) and start to drive with it. There is everything from tarmac challenges to gravel challenges on a way. I´m at the moment after 3 hours, still quite a much at start in tier3. Its also great that the game actually have what was checking the tiers and what has passed like: Citroen C2 challenge,Fiesta Trophy,Clio Trophy. All is kinda there as in real rallying. At tier5 is a Pirelli challenge and soon after that you can start from J-WRC.
I´m not sure also in what point you kinda start away of your own team to drive for WRC team, but just can be when WRC comes, them offers you a deal. There is a box for that I´m yet to open of course. nyyh nyyh,I´m still just a rookie :P
Anyway if there are questions also to me, I can maybe answer to few of them with the best way I can.

sounds great mixa so you can have a female co-driver then the career mode sounds interesting does the cars have standard sponsorship or can you select what sponsors appear on your car like in race driver grid?
- Yes you can select between a rude man or kind female as the game is saying. I also tested the female and she is okey. What comes to sponsors, you gain them by driving races and yes you can select them to your car, just like at GRID but there are just 2 sponsor slots to fill. The sponsors isn´t real ones or atleast in this point haven´t been. Also you will unlock new colours to be bought and different kind of striping sets for your car to be bought. Them are cheap but if you example want to rally at the pink Suzuki Swift S1600,its possible. There are also different leveled sponsors. There is a bar what you have to fill but I don´t know yet the effect what happens after that. Also you have the buy the cars but don´t have to take care of them, just on the stages of course but no GT stuff like cleaning and changing of oils what lose money. Still I warn you, this sponsor stuff and car livery stuff sounds cooler than it is and worrying about buying cars isn´t a problem. Already at tier4 where I am,you gain quite a lot of money.
Also I checked and if I´m right, just for WRC class the contract will be then offered and can´t really wait to see how its like. I will correct this,if it happens already earlier.
What comes to the game I enjoy it more and more I play and I´m now in tier4 where are example Middle East Championships and some bigger continental cups for group N cars. Also S2000´s will be opened at tier4 and also in tier4 there is a wildcard entry for J-WRC :P . So I´m on the way for the top. Pirelli Star driver was at tier5 or tier6 and is the first one of BIG championships.
So far the best stages have been founded for GB and Turkey. I kinda start to hate the France. It looks cool but its always on wet, quite easy to win and with FWD cars, you are facing it soooo many times.
Also at FWD cars you already feel the difference between Suzuki Swift R2 and Suzuki Swift S1600 already. Also what I was testing the Ford Fiesta S2000 and Skoda Fabia S2000, both are kinda different cars by handling so its kinda a nice feature too. With differences mean kinda the difference how them handles. Example Fiesta is a bit like WRC cars on the demo while Fabia is much more stable, stiffy and easier to drive.
edit: Also forgot to say that game is pretty good by opposition so everyone will surely find an opposition them wants to. So if you example you find professional as too easy but expert too hard, you can modify the level of competition a bit to easier on expert and when you find your best, you can then increase it to the max again :) . Its pretty useful, specially for the players who may feel that expert is too hard or the fact that, them are stuck at some tier.

I will check this tomorrow at France as I will have to drive it once more with S1600 XD... I´m always driving from bonnet view so can´t basicly see if the wipers are working for drops but still nope, from bonnet view it haven´t never been looking like that it would been snowing or raining. Just wet gravel example in Japan and wet tarmac at France. Also I would say that them has pulled out Sweden quite well. Ok the barriers are still there but otherwise its cool and even a bit tricky on some stages. Also in Sweden the roads are a bit dirty so not white all over. Also after you finish the stage, in Sweden the car has collected snow to everywhere and at Japan the car is very muddy. Still as I said earlier, the wet and dry doesn´t feel so different. Also at tarmac even when the grip level is almost the same as in gravel, at tarmac the car atleast turns a bit quicker. Still I really enjoy a lot for the game, even when some small things could be better.

For sounds, on those I still must have to say nope .J-WRC and P-WRC are the only ones beeing a bit there. Still what comes to S2000´s and WRC cars, S2000´s are still pretty much the same,so sounds are a bit like with upcoming 1.6 turbos and even when there is a slight change in my opinion at Citroen C4 WRC, many will still probably say that its like a vacuum cleaner so nope, no major changes at sounds I would say.. for many unfortunately. Me it doesn´t bother as much but I know that for some it does. If you would like sounds to be fixed,go for PC. I´m sure that some modder will make the new ones.

No big, thats why Im here for.. Also I should correct in this point that its not actually freezing issue so sorry for saying something like that. Its more like the fact that road ahead of you is just on some places a bit blurry ahead of you and sometimes from high speeds when you are yet to know the roads well, you just will go out when the corner kinda comes as a blind even when you hear the note but the corner just kinda comes clear when you are close enough. Still the notes in my mind are very well made,if you follow them it helps to avoid some of these accidents. I hope I was clear enough and you got what I meant,LCD.

Nice...So If I got It right, It's just a graphical Issue, that does not have
any effect on the game's performance or car's handling, right?
And another one please: Have you noticed any change regarding the hairpins?
Have they become more tighten, or they are as open as seen on those press videos or demo?
Oh and a tiny one: Are all races during under daylight?
Thnks In advance.
Mixa
5th October 2010, 21:43
yup you got it right.. No slowdown to car performance or game performance. Just a small issue with how quickly the game will kinda load the track. You can still see all corners but sometimes when you come to them, them are just a bit blurry or in fast straights, the straight is a bit blurry and I can say its not a speed effect XD .
Any change in hairpins, hmmm I would say that them actually are tighter to drive than on the videos example even if them looks the same. You really have to brake for them. Also there are countries where hairpins are overally tighter than on some others like at Turkey. Also there are some real hairpins on some stages what quite probably will caught you on the first time XD... like the one in Spain and one in Japan :P . Also so far what I´ve seen also some junctions can be founded.
What comes to stages as I said, was the stage named example Jukojärvi,Himos or Leustu in Finland them all still uses the bits from each of those stages so you also learn the stages quite quickly so example at Himos stage, you actually drive a while the Jukojärvi stage and so on.
All stages so far I´ve done has been on daylight so no night stages.

and yes, opposition can retire from rallyes. Them will then have DNF at results. I haven´t spotted any cars at stages so no WRC5 thing but yes, them can retire from events and just like in demo, sometimes them may get some really bad stage times too.

Does the full game support more than one controller?

and here I am after finishing my Fiesta international trophy and now getting a change to have a wildcard at P-WRC round or then I can move up a tier to Pirelli Star Driver :P . Also opened up the WRC contract stuff at tier5. On there the cups what you drive kinda have an impact what WRC teams are interested. Example Fiesta cup now filled 60% of one Ford based team and a cup earlier, filled 20% interest of Adapta. You have to get 100% to them I guess,to unlock them to WRC,when you are there.
Don´t know to retire if your own car will get to that heavy condition but if you smash it heavily a couple of times,it becomes so slow, until you press the restart button, that continuying is kinda pointless as there is no way you can even repair it too well even when after each stage you have a possibility to repair your car. There is still a retire button. I might do some crash testing when I have time to see but cannot answer to this better than this,YET. Still I think that its not possible,to retire for damage. Your car can be in pieces, but it always keeps going.. atleast this has been the case on me.
Also cannot answer about G25. I will also check this after I have started my PS3 the next time. In the end I was trying and my GT driving force pro works well and also the pad issue has been fixed what was on the demo so,you can drive with arrow keys or analog sticks.
but I promise to look more of wheel stuff and about smashing the car so stay patient.

A little prologue at first.... I have PS3 what I've been using mainly for Blue-Rays. That's because the game selection for PS3 suck comparing to other platforms. That's what I think. I love racing games but for PS3 I haven't found but one good game and that's GRID. All the others are poor efforts. Colin McRae Dirt I was so bad I sold it the very day I bought it.
Anyway, Pino showed me videofootage of WRC 2010 last summer and it looked pretty good. So I bought it and tried it. Well, can't say much about it yet but it's way better than DIRT.
It's not the greatest game either. I skipped all the driveing academys, put all the options to hard and got rid of all driving aids because I'm a Finn and don't need them :D I started my Road to WRC and bought a Fiesta. Pretty much the same road like Mixa I can see :)
What I have noticed in short amount of time, the handling is decent. Not as good feeling like in two original Colin McRaes. Graphics are pretty good and the dynamic enviroment is fun. I just stripped a fence from all the wood as I tried to lean on it. I like the careermode which seem to be very common these days. Getting fame and gathering better sponsors in order to update your machinery. Also unlocking more events is put out in very natural way.
Something is still missing from being perfect game... I don't know exactly what it is but it's something :mark: One thing was weird. The two stages I drove rally wales very absolutely bad  Comparing to other stages I have had a chance to drive those two were s**t.
I still drive FWD cars but I'm waiting to unlock either S2000 or PWRC, I don't know which they will offer me first.
Well, these are my feeling this early on my road to wrc. Hopefully it will be better and better on every stage I proceed. If you are HC-rally fan, I think you will get the satisfaction from this game.... at least for the time Gran Turismo 5 is released :D

heh, thanks A.F.F too and yeah its a decent game and feeling is pretty good as I´ve said. Specially with the J-WRC and P-WRC cars+ a few S-WRC cars them are decent drives. WRC is a bit tricky to some due to basic setups beeing quite bad :P .
oh and I started with Citroen C2 R2 but as Im already at tier6, I had to buy the Fiesta R2 for Fiesta International trophy and the next one after winning the P-WRC wildcard, I will do the Pirelli Star Driver at next.
Also as I said earlier, I confirmed just a while ago the fact that you cannot make your car to retire so you can always continue on it but continuying rally on a car what goes to no where and cannot even be repaired, maybe retire button will be useful XD . computer drivers still have DNF´s as said but only a 1 or 2 at rally.
Then again I like for Wales so there we have a difference example. I keep Wales as a great fun and challenging.
Will see wheel option tomorrow, I just forgotten to check them so sorry. If people still have questions.. I can try my best on answering them.
Also haven´t checked if online is open but will check it tomorrow. In the end 2-16 players sounds pretty nice.

What I miss is that ultra-realistic touch where for example you'd loose money in order to repair your car after rallies if you're a privateer like you are in the beginning of you career mode....
So Mixa, you're saying I have to buy C2 as well to get all the option unlocked? I tought I could skip C2 trophy but I guess I can't.... well, more training :D
It seem that I really need it. Strangely, in Finland I'm unbeatable. But I guess Jukojärvi and Himos are the easiest stages so far....
Mixa
6th October 2010, 22:10
No you don´t have to buy C2 R2 so you did a smart choice,A.F.F. :P . I started with it and had to buy the Fiesta R2 for Fiesta International Trophy at tier5 to get forward at the game.
and yeah, you dont never lose money for repairs and already after a while, you see that you have a lot of it :P .
What comes to stages, the opposition gets harder when you progress. Also it bugs me a bit what I´ve forgotten to say that computer drivers lose extremely lot of time on so called spectator places. Like in Germany at town or at Portugal at Algarve stadium or then at GB on the castle, drive through.
So far Japan and NZ to me has been the hardest ones and also Turkey at first. Also GB was easy before tier5 but now,man those guys are flying :P

I'm not Mixa but I want to reply to marcel as well. IMO WRC 2010 is pretty similar to the previous WRC rally games. The feeling and the handling is similar, the stages are pretty similar and the graphics also remind me of them. And IMO all these examples were worse than in Colin McRaes I, II and IV.
Like Mixa said earlier, the car set up in this game is poor  You can influence only in basic set ups, nothing more.
And yes the stages are decent but I don't think they are representing the real rally !! Mixa, have you noticed that the opponents are slower when you drive the stages to the opposite direction?? Or am I just imagining things ? I seem to get supertime comparing to others on those stages
And you can't mention RBR and DIRT in the same sentence !!!! RBR is the best rally game ever and DIRT is a utter joke !
just played the full wrc 2010 game but i am disappointed, the audio is horrible and the car physics is not what i was hoping. The snow stages are also disappointing on the other hand the group b addition is a cool bonus also the ability to get new sponsors is very nice but overall the game has no 'wow' effect and cannot compete with for example DiRT 2. btw there will be new mods for DiRT 2, at the moment i am working on 2-3 mods that changes parts in the game that as of yet were not done by anyone so keep an eye on my website for some new very cool updates.

heh, yes them kinda have the old similar WRC game feelings and there are similar effects but with updated graphics. Also I think that on some of the stages, them has kinda been looking an info how them has been made on them. What comes to feeling of the car, compared to old WRC games, its a bit heavier until you setup the car. On wheel then again, I find it lighter :P . But overally the car is more heavier. Still as many has said that WRC4 example was the best rally game on the serie, those who liked that will surely get a lot of out from the current game too. I´m having a lot of fun with it example and I´m not disappointed at all.
Also yeah, setups are just moving the stuff to way or another as in demo but still them really changes your car and makes it way a lot quicker. If you drive with the computer made ones, them are better than I expected after demo but still them will pretty much suck, compared to your own ones.
hmmm, with reversed stages.. hmmm, actually sometimes I find them as a bit more competitive on those :P . but yeah example at France what you drive a lot at the start, there is 1 stage what kinda always solves the rally for your way. Them gets better still in time when you progress ;)
I´m on the point now at the game where I made it to J-WRC :P . So I´m about to start it soon :P . Also on this tier you can unlock a head a head with one of the Finnish rally legends at NZ :P . Quite a nice bonus I would say and surprising even ;)

Well, I must admit im pleasantly surprised by this game. The graphics and sounds semm slightly better than the demo and you can use the d-pad for steering, its actually quite adictive. From what i've done so far the stages are pretty good, just completed tier 1 japan in a c2r2 and wasnt too bad ;)

7th October 2010, 19:11
Thats nice to hear,Richy . As I said earlier I was surprised too and yeah stages when you drive them are kinda better than what kind of impression you got by watching the videos. Also just keep playing, even if the first tiers and getting out of FWD cars is a long way. I kinda hate Bulgaria with the FWD cars, them are so unstable there for some reason XD .
I have now driven a few rounds of P-WRC championship myself and could already make a contract with one WRC team but I want something better.
Also for those who were looking to drive a yellow Pirelli Lancer at Pirelli Star Driver, not gonna happen at tier6.. You have to drive your own Lancer and there comes a shock as every P-WRC driver seems to be on the competition XD.

What for you were driving for? PC? PS3? X-Box360? By searching I may be able to find an answer but as I told, there has still been issues at the PC version with wheels. Some cannot get them to work at all and most are missing the force feedback like on demo while at PS3 there seems to be that people are trouble free.

I really wish that I would know as there are mixed informations about the wheel and as I´m not with PC I really cannot answer too well. Still to be sure, maybe you can also try to look answer by yourself but what I was reading, the comments of wheel issues are quite negative so there is a high change that G25 doesn´t still work. I´m sorry as I can´t help you with this... its sad when someone who would want to play, maybe not have a change :S
Also was today at online with PS3 and its great fun :P . Okey its understandable that people who have had the game are faster in this point like many finns compared to other country players like spanish but all will improve for sure. The fights at online are already intense. Also I still try to enjoy as I played today quite a many games and didn´t never finished lower than 2nd. That will surely change.
Online is a great fun but the big minus is that if you jump to the race on the middle, you have to wait until the stage has finished. Everyone is always on the stage at the same time and only 1 run will be done so consistancy is the key :P . Its still great fun if you find a great group of people and I was also very happy to see that whatever you look in online, all groups are kinda available... at least now there were guys who were running J-WRC,P-WRC,S-WRC and WRC games. Search options at online ain´t too good but I prefer to select a game where is random system. Otherwise you end up playing Mexico(it sucks by the way XD ),Turkey,Finland,France or Bulgaria very often.

Yeah,Blazquez, you cannot take the wheel off even but then again when you make a couple of hard collisions, the car really doesn´t go too fast anymore so its kinda punishment enough I would say. of course some of the players really would love to see realism setting but what Ive been at online and raced against, maybe with it,too many wouldn´t finish XD
and bennizw, it is really just your copy. My one on PS3 works perfectly and has been since the start. Also my copy haven´t frozened any time yet what actually happens with PS3 games quite often with many, even if them would be new. Watch your copy from the another side and see if there are cracks.. If you see some, you have just got the disk what has a manufacturing error so kinda just a bad disk. Example with EA games like bad company 2 and FIFA series have the ones what just cracks up,sometimes even go into half and therefore can even destroy your machine (if at PS3) .
Today I also made it into WRC at the career, yay! but as I played my way the bad way and quick way XD ,it seems that only available teams I fulled the interest were: Munchis,Monster and Adapta XD . I have now driven 3 rallyes of season and won 2 of them :P . Interesting feature is that, after each race, you can select the team you wanna race from unlocked ones so example at Sweden, you can drive a Subaru and at Mexico,a Ford . Not too realistic but nice for those who feels like them has made the wrong decision.
Also online is still great fun. 16 players and all on the stage at the same time. Okey waiting is the worst thing but there is always the cars you want to drive in. Also so far,the level haven´t been so high. I also decided to stop in online for today as at first won 10 stages at P-WRC in a row and was kicked by the host, then went to J-WRC,won 4 and was 1 second and it was enough and I was kicked... then went to S-WRC rally.. Won all 4 stages and a rally by a minute and the host left XD .
Those who may want to add me to friendlist,at PS3 my PSN is Schless .

After almost 3 days of playing the game, I can say I really enjoy It!
It may not be the new RBR or the best WRC game of the series In the past
but have no doubt It's a decent one and very promising for the future.
There are many things I like In the game:
First of all the handling, which differs from car to car.Very challenging
under dry gravel, mud, dry tar or wet.I happen to notice a change of car's performance,
each time the surface changes. No way you could compare It with the DiRT series-It's far more sim!
The enviroment/landscapes are amazing and the track designing Is quite successful, as many parts
of the stages are based on real wrc locations. There Is more room for Improvement though,
so are the sounds and the pacenotes style.
The Road To The WRC mode Is very Interesting and the online mode has a great fun!
Overall WRC 2010 imo, Is a must buy for every rally fan, who wants the
wrc games to return In the gaming buisiness and carry on In the future.
Not sayin' It's perfect-some things must be fixed for the next title.
Not sayin' WRC Is better than RBR-No question about It.
Just sayin' It's a very decent and honest game;you will find 100% rally content and a rally atmosphere,
no other games can offer right now.

Nice review there,LCD and yeah its a very decent game and very good to drive. The more you play, the better it kinda gets :P . Also the game modes like "road to WRC" is still great fun and its very well done, even when it takes a lot of driving. Way more than some likes to. Also online is great fun! Getting into games can be harsh, but once you make into there the 1 run on the stage system, kinda works :P . Can´t wait to see what kind of an impact the Gr.B car pack will make in online too because with WRC5.. it was very much played.
Also in this game, its hard to describe what game it reminds the most but it has kinda takes from many rally games in my mind. Example some of the landscapes remind me of V-Rally3 like in France example among the autumn leafs what Britain had and then again controlling the car has something from WRC4 but also something example from old CMR´s . Also as you said, each car kinda is an invidual and therefore some finds different cars as better than others. Example I can drive the WRC M2 teams way better than manufacturer team cars :P
Also there are some interesting names at thank you list at the game manual. ;) .

Well against my better judgement I bought this game when in a shop this afternoon, and am already regretting it. Shocking.
Pacenotes - useless. Far, far, far too late a lot of the time (mostly into hairpins....) and the notes themselves are rubbish - "junction left", well is that a flat out left hander or it it a hairpin or what? Have you ever heard a co-driver anywhere saying "bottleneck"? And "careful" is badly edited and takes him ages to say.... not to mention "slow down!!"....
Having to hold the handbrake button down so that the driver has time to grab it to pull it is not on, I have already pulled it......
Messing around with sponsors, colours, well I just can't be bothered with that, but even so I just won 200,000 credits for a small french cup in a C2, so who needs sponsors?? The standard setup is terrible too, hitting the rev limited in 2nd gear if I change to 3rd I should not bog down.....
The other thing that I am not happy about is getting reset onto the track if you crash.... fair enough if you fall over the side of a cliff, but if I slide straight on into the above mentioned "junction left", and just before I have hit it I am franticly changing down the gears, only to find it resets me into the middle of the road and I am now in reverse going backwards..... :dozey:
Maybe I will give it another go later in the week, maybe I will just go back to F1 2010!

two titles brought me back to the dark side (although the WRC one has left
me very disappointed thus far). So thanks for the tip!

@FAlonso: Got the same rig with yours and the game runs smooth without any lags or slowdowns-all graphics high and all effects on! ;)
Have an average of 55 fps.

I don't have it but is there any way you can by-pass the normal launcher program and just start the .exe file? Or is the launched started automatically with the .exe?
Looks like the launcher might not be working properly.

It is official: This game does not work on a NTSC-Playstation. WRC 2010 is the only PS3 game that isn´t zone free. I got this answer from Milestone:
"Dear Customer,
unfortunately the game is available only for PAL console, USA or Jap
console are not PAL but NTSC so they can not read the game correctly"
...
Is there no way they can patch the game to work? It actually runs fine untill you start choosing a car, so obviously some of it works.

Hold on, where did you buy it from? Are they actually selling it in those countries as PAL-only? If so they should be ashamed.

The major flaw of WRC 2010 game is the poor sound quality as one can’t enjoy the overall game. Its graphics are quite good and interesting but sounds make it obnoxious

has anyone downloaded the group B car pack and if so is it worth it for the cars?

nope but I will tomorrow. I will tell then how it is but as it was kinda free for pre orders atleast partly im sure that some has given a try already. Also 4.50€ if Im right should be the price and its not too much.
I also wonder if the pack will be used in online. What I was there today,no one didn´t had it as a single session. Level of gamers also at online is increasing and its very nice to have some competition... I example keep myself as quite a basic racer and so far have 50 stage wins for 62 possible ones and most of them came today as WRC cars at Spain was a total mayhem XD .

Online it might be like the extra levels on MW2, ie you only play against those that have it (although obviously it's different when you're talking about extra levels rather than extra cars)

Yeah,I´m pretty sure that it will be only for those who have it but meant with it that what I was playing today, didn´t saw any gr.B games yet at the gamelist and also it wasn´t available to be selected at create a session.
With level talk, meant the skill level of players that its nice to see it increasing and the skill level is higher than it used to be a couple of days ago example. Today already you had to drive, while a couple of days ago, you mostly won the stage by 7 to 20 seconds.

Have been messing with the game on PS3 and I do not think it's that bad, for me the only complaint is the track design, the environment and look of the places I think is there but the corners are quite boring, other than that it would be nice to have some cutscenes on the Road to WRC mode, like when you win a rally or something, but I am enjoying it so far.

Believe it or not I've started to enjoying this game, the handling is great and the WRC career is vey exciting  And yes I've downloaded the Group B car-pack and my first impression is that there are more difficult to keep them on track

I'm not sure about stage design. THere seem to be 3 stages per country, all reversed, but none of them are unique. So far it seems like each country has a '+' layout.

cars are cool but they came with the game, did not had to download it. ;)

if that is is right and the cars were already on the disc so to say it annoys me that you have to pay (?) to access them

didn't pay a dime for the game....... :s mokin: (downloaded the full game 1 day before official release :D ) If those ***holes keep on building have done games (trying to patch it later on) and let me pay 45 Euro and try to even shake more money from my pockets for a DLC which already should be in the game then i stop buying those games. I never play online anymore because of those cheaters anyway, so no need for the real deal when you get a perfect copy for free with Group B cars in it. Do not get me wrong i still buy games but only after playing a demo without bugs like DiRT 2, great game and no bugs found by me, this game was worth every penny i spend on it.

Hmmm, bought the B.gr pack and for the ones who likes about B.gr cars its an okey pack but yeah its really nothing special. The cars drives pretty much like WRC cars but are faster at straight line but on the corners them are quite tricky even to handle.
Also as seen in preview video, the cars doesn´t have real drivers... also quite many of the cars seems to have female co-drivers. The cars also doesn´t look too bad but still in my mind somehow doesn´t look so real even from the outside and yeah the cockpit is way too modern what kills the feeling a bit too.
Overally a bit disappointed for this content so those who have been thinking to get or not... it is just about do you feel like you need extra cars or no.

was playing WRC online today and got to say it is a rather good experience to me personally the competition was fierce and most people stayed on to the end of the rally was was great fun trading places in single rally mode :~)

I'm still at my early pwrc career, haven't had the time to play :mark: However, I'm beginning to learn how to drive tthat Mitsu fast enough to reach the objctives. Pretty hard on the hardest level... at least for me. So, no pleasure for me with WRC cars yet...
Interesting to read, Mixa, from where you may get the Group-B pack? From Playstation online store? You dont think it's worth it?

Yeah as Pino said its available at the playstation store. The reason why I´m a bit disappointed is the fact that in my mind them could have done way better job with the B.gr pack. Yeah them are harder to drive specially around the corners as them should be and you get huge slides with them what is kinda fun and each car is an invidual(big slides isn´t so realistic specially at tarmac). Also each car is a bit different. Example Lancia and Peugeot are powerful and turns well while Renault thanks to it RWD is a real challenge and example Citroen is stable and fast but hard to get to turn.
Still somehow I expected more... like the cockpits could really be from B.gr era,the sounds could be way more unique and the B.gr cars by the looks could be a bit more realistic. Also the level of CPU drivers with the gr.B pack is actually a bit slower than example with WRC or P-WRC so CPU doesn´t really give a challenge. Still some few B.gr cars are always nice to have :) . Specially great fun at online has to say. What comes to price as Pino said,Its not that expensive but atleast in my case... I feel like them could have done way more and way better job with these cars.
Thats why I say that if you are happy to get just a few more cars,go for it but if you expect something really gr.B like and something different than what the game already have, you may find the extra content as a bit disappointing.
Still enjoying for the game quite much and online is really one of the best parts of the game.
