We followed the Dakar Rally this year 2010. It runs in Argentina now, due to direct terrorist threats from Africa. We want to follow it again next year 2011.
It runs from Buenos Aires (Argentina) to Chile and back to BA on the 1 to 17 Jan 2011.
This is the Everest of motorsport- toughtest in the world!!
Dakar 2010 was unbelievably brilliant!! We loved it.

Thought this was the World Rally Championship Forum. Dakar isn`t really in the wrc, or what? :confused:
Seems to me that this is not a proper thread, but just advertising.

Well, the beginning of the thread is not too good... But Dakar has been here in WRC section for last two years due to the fact that so many current or former top or medium WRC drivers take part in Dakar as well. I think it is the proper location. But I hope there will not be more commercial advertisements.

What section would you put the Dakar Rally in under the catagories provided??
Carlos Sainz won the race last year, closest race in Dakar history.
Not many people know the race is run in Argentina now. So when you mention "Dakar Rally" the almost imediate reply is "Dakar is know where near Argentina"
Awareness is the key!!

My apologies- you are right - better to put it in the America's- Is there anyway of editing it after it has been submitted?? I'm apealling to anyone that has never been to Dakar- and would like to live the Dakar Dream by following the event- I loved it so much this year, I want to share the excitement with the world!!!
